When Layne died we lost a great artist. Yes, Jerry wrote most of the music, but Laynes singing style and melodic sensibility geve the world some of, in my opinion, the greatest vocal moments in recorded history. I'll save my final Judgement on the new singer until the next record comes out. I'm not sure Alice in Chains will be the same without Staley.

No. "REAL" Alice in Chains fans don't have to like Duvall, but they should be happy that the music they know and love can once again be heard live and introduced to a whole new generation of fans. While it might not be the chains you remember, its the same music. And with new younger fans, the band can live on for years to come.
