LOL... we made one of these once.. but forgot to film it.. damn! we used like 100 sparkle sticks, took the gunpowder off it then put it in a can.. it had the same effect only not as big.. that was awesome as..
It was done on a footy oval, and we were a little wasted, thats why the camera work ain't great =). We were all 18 when this was made (late November 2005.)
We deliberately made this a 'fountain' type sparkle bomb, not a crappy exploding one that lasts for less than a second. The one in the vid was made to look cool for the longest amount of time possible, it still has sparks flying out over 20 secs later. As for the bottle, there no way it would shatter. It was heavily reinforced with many, many layers of...secret stuff. We've made many spakle bombs in the past ,and know what it takes to make a good fountain.
u shitting me? only 40 packets? i made one (on youtube) and it went as high as urs i only used 60 sparkles but mine only went for like 5 secs hehe GREAT VIDEO BTW
Shit mate, are you kidding? I'd rather not die from sparkle bomb related injuries. The one in the video was a bit higher than the power poles (bit hard to see in the vid), so we wouldn't want to to go any higher than that :o

I think it was just some big ass liquor bottle, it was perfect for the job because it had pretty thick glass, as well as some other secret stuff to make it work better ;)
are the sparkles crushed into the bottle??? because i cant get mine to go for that long!
