AHH!!!!! The first time I listened to Bob James it was snowing in Tulsa. I was with a lovely lady and I had her play this album over and over again. I was hooked on Bob James. I had the finest sound equipment that I could afford and this album was played again and again. I am fortunate that I still have all his albums and they are in EXCELLENT condition.
Listening to this master piece back in 1976 on my Onkyo TX8500 receiver, Phase Linear 2 turntable with a Sure V15 stylist in to Bose floor standing speaker... I got a glimpse of heaven.... And I'd like to thank Bob James for that...
This remains the most beautiful rendition of Women of Ireland ever. Hadn't heard it in awhile & spent hours going through my boxes of audio cassettes - finally found the container for Bob James 3 but alas, no cassette inside. It must have made it's way back to heaven. So glad someone else uploaded it here.
HAYASEZA0602 I was trying or several years find this piece of music and at last !!!!!!! I found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you from the botom of my heart
Gorgeous as can be. What luscious, soothing strings. He does something delicious at every level of the tessitura, he draws you in, transports you somewhere, then makes full use of the possibilities of all the instruments. A composer's dream put to music. Wow, Bob James still does it for me!
This was my favorite "morning song" when I was 17 .. brings back teary memories of some very good times .. serene and absolutely as beautiful as I remember it to be.
Thank you for posting this. I owned this album when I discovered it back in 1976 and
adored it. The album was long gone and I couldn't even remember Bob James' name. By searching on the internet, I rediscovered his name and then found this song on Youtube
(my favorite along with "Westchester Lady"). Thank you ever so much for bringing this
I know what you mean.exactly,Bob James'songs are pieces of the type to occur to one when forgetting because his songs were made very carefully and delicately.
our Son was born to this wonderful music !
