Both cars are great, RS3 has much better sound and is faster to 100, but after that 1 M is a bit better. If you want fun at driving you take 1M, if you prefer stability, security than you take RS3. It all comes down to the persons taste!

I have driven many cars from Audi, Mercedes and BMW and settled on the Audi A8 3.0TDI for 2 reasons: more than sufficient performance, comfort, space and toys and excellent efficiency.
I can understand why you chose the A8 over the 7-series. However, a 3.0 litre diesel in such a large car gives it pretty sluggish acceleration. Furthermore, in this segment it would have been wiser to chose the S-class as opposed to the A8. The S-class is known for being the leader in the segment. Superior quality and space coupled with a very smooth ride. Although the A8 isn't as far behind as it once was. I guess you have a family since you have such a large car?
@SurvivorZ1 The reason why I chose the A8 3.0TDI is because I can go on a 1300km cruise and not worry about refuelling. I'm not even going to need to go from 0-60 is 4 seconds. 6 seconds is fine and isn't in any way sluggish or slow. Yes the S-class is better but it doesn't look as good as the Audi and I love the way Audi's drive compared to other cars. It's so easy that a woman can cook and drive at the same time. Ask yourself that question. Which car would you buy, the A8 or the C-class. I can tell you right now that the A8 and C-class are 2 completely different cars and without a doubt anyone would choose the A8 without even thinking.
Anyone that have a lot of money would chose the A8 over the C-class. That is obvious. But for those of us that don't, the C-class would be a better choice. I would probably buy an Audi A8 or something in that segment when I have a family. If I would be too young to have a family, but have the money, I would choose a SL500 or a BMW 650 instead. To me, buying such a large car just to travel with friends seems like a waste of money. Don't you agree? The large value loss, the high price?

@SurvivorZ1 It had around 67,000 miles. I can't remember exactly how much but it was in that area. It's a great price anyway, e.g, you're not going to buy a cheap PC which is going to overheat all the time, you're going to spend a bit more to have a PC that will last longer, therefore saving money. So you pay more but in return you also get more. I hope I explained that clear enough for you to understand it :D

@teodor1403 The RS3 gives excellent performance with no downsides whatsoever, it also has excellent efficiency for something that has the same performance as an R8 and TTRS. The 1M is a track car, obsessed with drifting, acceleration, looking good (which it does surprisingly) and of course smoking the tires. But the question is, where can you get a chance to do all those things the car is made for? There are very few places, and for that reason TO ME it's useless.

Personally, I find the Audi a better car. Looks, noise, engine, interior, brand and acceleration are all on the next level for the Audi. I'm denying for a second that the BM isn't a good car, however, the Audi is better than it when everything is considered. It just goes to show that nothing can beat Audi Power.

You should expect that the RS3 must be much slower above the 100 KM/H than the 1M.
That because of the awd, but he is suprisely a little slower than the 1M.
And with a more practical car, and of course a much better sound is a compliment worth to the Audi engineers.
Because the 2,5 has less litres and only 1 turbo! instead of 3 liters and bi-turbo ;)

I can understand why you chose the A8 over the 7-series. However, a 3.0 litre diesel in such a large car gives it pretty sluggish acceleration. Furthermore, in this segment it would have been wiser to chose the S-class as opposed to the A8. The S-class is known for being the leader in the segment. Superior quality and space coupled with a very smooth ride. Although the A8 isn't as far behind as it once was. I guess you have a family since you have such a large car?

@SurvivorZ1 The reason why I chose the A8 3.0TDI is because I can go on a 1300km cruise and not worry about refuelling. I'm not even going to need to go from 0-60 is 4 seconds. 6 seconds is fine and isn't in any way sluggish or slow. Yes the S-class is better but it doesn't look as good as the Audi and I love the way Audi's drive compared to other cars. It's so easy that a woman can cook and drive at the same time. There are my reasons.

@SurvivorZ1 It's good when travelling with friends, especially when you have a lot of them. It's got plenty of space in the back and yes I know they lose value very quickly but there's a reason for that.
Ask yourself that question. Which car would you buy, the A8 or the C-class. I can tell you right now that the A8 and C-class are 2 completely different cars and without a doubt anyone would choose the A8 without even thinking.

Anyone that have a lot of money would chose the A8 over the C-class. That is obvious. But for those of us that don't, the C-class would be a better choice. I would probably buy an Audi A8 or something in that segment when I have a family. If I would be too young to have a family, but have the money, I would choose a SL500 or a BMW 650 instead. To me, buying such a large car just to travel with friends seems like a waste of money. Don't you agree? The large value loss, the high price?

@SurvivorZ1 I'm guessing you've never heard of second hand? xD JK, but seriously if you look into second hand luxury German cars you'll find that the prices are crazy. Like you said, they lose value very quickly. I found my A8 (2010) on AutoTrader for £25,000 and it was loaded with toys.
I think that if someone only had a few friends it would be a complete waste of money, but if you're always out with a lot of friends it's a great car.

Alright, then I understand. That was most certainly a good price. However, that is still a lot of money, at least for me. Am I safe to assume that you have graduated college at least? Or have you somehow managed to become rich during your education? Where I live, that price you payed for your A8 is nearly as much as the average student earn a year after graduating from the most prestigeous eduacation at my school. How many miles did your A8 had when you bought it?

@SurvivorZ1 It had around 67,000 miles. I can't remember exactly how much but it was in that area. It's a great price anyway, e.g, you're not going to buy a cheap PC which is going to overheat all the time, you're going to spend a bit more to have a PC that will last longer, therefore saving money. So you pay more but in return you also get more. I hope I explained that clear enough for you to understand it :D

@teodor1403 The RS3 gives excellent performance with no downsides whatsoever, it also has excellent efficiency for something that has the same performance as an R8 and TTRS. The 1M is a track car, obsessed with drifting, acceleration, looking good (which it does surprisingly) and of course smoking the tires. But the question is, where can you get a chance to do all those things the car is made for? There are very few places, and for that reason TO ME it's useless.

If the Audi was using its Launch control it would get up speed a lot faster and ultimately be quicker than the BMW. I have nothing against the BM, but you can't knock the Audi for that V10- wannabe noise! Also, the BMW isn't as good looking nor the best interior.

Personally, I find the Audi a better car. Looks, noise, engine, interior, brand and acceleration are all on the next level for the Audi. I'm denying for a second that the BM isn't a good car, however, the Audi is better than it when everything is considered. It just goes to show that nothing can beat Audi Power.

Why the hell does every vid of an Audi or a Bmw have a fight going on in the comments. They are different cars for different drivers and conditions. You don't have to hate one to like the other. I like the Bmw but I'd have the Audi because of its 4wd system. A powerful Rwd car would be pointless where I live (nearly 6 months of snow). If I lived somewhere warm I'd propably have the Bmw..
