Hi everyone, just wanted to add one thing, you can use the slide hammer with the puller that you used to get the bearing out to put the bearing back in, just make sure you start it straight and tap against the washer with with the slide hammer, the bearing with the slide hammer lightly to start the bearing, make sure you have the nut down semi tight against the washer at the puller end against the bearing. Good information thank you Mike.
question: i went to do the wheel bearings on my jeep and the little bolt that hold the pin in the middle has no head on it i think the old owner broke it off. any suggestions to get whats left of it out? so i can take the pin out then pull the axles to the the bearings thanks
Thank you for this video, I am getting ready to do my rear bearings/seals and this makes things so clear. Write-ups are nice, but video allows you to understand a write-up better.
is the front this easy?

...and I was going to take my axle housing to a shop to have them pressed. I didn't figure a slide hammer would do the job. THANKS!!

I would suggest using a large mallet rather than a hammer, to tap the bearing in. That way you won't ruin your large socket.

Great video. I'm ordering seals/brgs for my 98 Sport.
How about a little diff lube on that seal lip before sliding the axle in?
