  • "All Girls Are Pretty Vol 1" is definitely one of my favorite albums of...ever, one of the only albums I still listen to from beginning to end. It was a high quality effort from everyone involved. There was a great follow up (of sorts), the band name was Stupid World and the album titled "Songs...". I read it was supposed to be the next Fabulon album. Am I right, Kevin?

  • Kevin is an absolute pop genius. Fabulon was amazing.... Before I even heard the album, someone described it as "as if Prince met Todd Rundgren, but more original than that", and it didn't disappoint. The story goes that this single was poised to become #1, but the week it came out, the Chrysalis exec in charge of the album had a falling out with his higher-ups, and in a revenge mode, they killed ALL that exec's projects, including this and a few others. Tragic, truly. A CD worth tracking down.

  • Kevin was brilliant from his humble beginnings to the final NY days. Still care very much for the man, but our friendship ended. Duckwood song "Karma Kill" kinda says it all. To bad, hope your doing ok, wherever you are.

  • Such a great day. Such a great experience. I guess volume II was my son.

  • I own this disk and I LOVE IT fron start to finish.... too bad it is the only thing they did

  • my mom and dad are in this video. the main singer in this is my dad

  • @mcnugget117 You're Fabulon's kid? Groovy. That's why your handle's "mcnugget"-Your last name begins with "Mc".

I'm getting old. Fabulon is a dad.

  • I also liked the song that came after this one, I can't remember the name but the group was called the Mood swings. hahaha

  • such I great band. Thanks for posting.

  • I actually worked on this record back in 1991 at a studio that no longer exists. My first project in Los Angeles. produced by Jack Joseph Puig. I always thought it was a really great record but was never marketed properly. And the cover was one of the most hideous things I ever saw. (Sorry Kevin) I don't think that helped. Oddly enough I have heard the middle section played as bumper music on Rush Limbaugh's radio show...weird. But I gotta say the sessions were very fun and very different.

  • @ksteiger Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking on that cover or how I even got it passed the execs... but certainly did not help things along....

  • Shame the audio isnt that great... now this is one frikin rocking song... "i'm Definately in a MOooood"...lol

  • Darn near a perfect pop song. Thanks for posting!

  • terrific song, terrific video, great album, incredibly distressing album art. What the hell happened to this guy?

  • hi there kevin. ;-)

  • Fabulon was touted as the next big thing but alas this was unfortunately not to be as Grunge was still stifling much of the American Alt-set. His lone album - All Girls Are Pretty Volume One - was nearly a one-man job (he wrote, performed most of it and produced it himself). Members of Jellyfish appear on the album, which was a nice stew of Jellyfish, Prince, Stones, Beatles and T.Rex. A fantastic single from a fantastic album.

Thanks for posting and this song should've been a hit.

  • Thanks for posting. Love the 70's kind of feel in this video. This video reminds me when I use to live in NYC in the early 70's. I used to subscribe in the 90's to monthly video club called U-HUH that would send me by snail mail on VHS the latest alternative videos, and this one was one of my fav's in one of the tapes.

  • stones rip off

  • Thanks for posting this -I've had this song stuck in my head for years!
