Being a Christian has taught me to forgive everyone for their sins; nobody walking this Earth is perfect! And for the comment that Shawn does't "look Christian"... how does a Christian look? I ask this because every person in my church looks different. We are all unique, as God created us, and I don't understand what it means to "look Christian." In Leviticus, it says that you must not stain your body with tattoos or cut your body (with a piercing) but back then that kind of stuff was associated with pagan worship. Some tattoos and piercings are actually gotten out of faith, and therefore are counter-active to any pagan beliefs. But either way, this man is committing no sin.
I go to a big church. It is a christian church. I sometimes see people and ask myself, why would they come to church, they don't look like Christians?

Outside appearances have NOTHING to do with Christianity. Christianity is based on your inner relationship with Christ. He calls everyone to follow Him, even the hipsters and the "emos" and the skaters. I dress like that also. My hair is fire engine red, I wear skinny jeans and Converse and wear square glasses. Pretty cool story recently on Spirit 105.3 when Shawn talks about how he came up with this song. He grabbed his guitar and went to his patio & sat in front of his fire pit. Come as you are right? In my opinion (I could be wrong though) Jesus doesn't care about how you look on the outside. It's how you look on the inside. I'm sure others have said the same thing, I just don't feel like going through all the comments. I speak at a youth service and sometimes during the summer I wear shorts and sandals to church. I understand the childhood issues this "God Fearing" man has undergone... At the age of 5 after being subject to unthinkable sittuations, my parents left me with my grandparents on the farm,go on vacation... But, after a year I realized they weren't comming back for me. But, "By the Grace of God", I understand that I am who I am today because of my trials and I can forgive as I know I am forgiven.

In Leviticus, it says that you must not stain your body with tattoos or cut your body (with a piercing) but back then that kind of stuff was associated with pagan worship. Some tattoos and piercings are actually gotten out of faith, and therefore are counter-active to any pagan beliefs. But either way, this man is committing no sin.

I go to a big church. It is a christian church. I sometimes see people and ask myself, why would they come to church, they don't look like Christians?
It doesn't matter who you are, where you've been before, its where you are now. If you are a true Christian then it doesn't matter what you look like. We are all at church for one purpose, to worship God.
So please stop with all of the negative comments saying that what he is wearing makes himself a Christian.

@ellkylie4 He tunes his guitar really weird but it's not a hard song to play! He tunes it DADGAD and the chords are: (0 0 0 2 0 0), (2 2 0 0 0 0), (5 5 0 0 0 0), then back to (0 0 0 2 0 0) and switches to (0 0 2 0 0 0) for half a measure. I'm not sure what the names of the chords are though.

Outside appearances have NOTHING to do with Christianity. Christianity is based on your inner relationship with Christ. He calls everyone to follow Him, even the hipsters and the "emos" and the skaters. I dress like that also. My hair is fire engine red, I wear skinny jeans and Converse and wear square glasses. Pretty cool story recently on Spirit 105.3 when Shawn talks about how he came up with this song. He grabbed his guitar and went to his patio & sat in front of his fire pit. (here in Seattle!) :) He's incredible.....hope to see him perform one day! When we are in the midst of these gray weather days in Seattle, I always know great music will come from it. Thanks Shawn!

Come as you are right? In my opinion (I could be wrong though) Jesus doesn't care about how you look on the outside. It's how you look on the inside. I'm sure others have said the same thing, I just don't feel like going through all the comments. I speak at a youth service and sometimes during the summer I wear shorts and sandals to church. Does that change who I am on the inside? No. My heart still belongs to Jesus and I'm still living for him. It doesn't matter what I look like on the outside

I understand the childhood issues this "God Fearing" man has undergone... At the age of 5 after being subject to unthinkable sittuations, my parents left me with my grandparents on the farm,go on vacation... But, after a year I realized they weren't comming back for me. But, "By the Grace of God", I understand that I am who I am today because of my trials and I can forgive as I know I am forgiven.
