I don't know about all this indie this or hipster that, guys. I'm not really hearing a single here. Needs a little more pizzaz and a chorus I can sing along to. Maybe a couple more chords, bring it out of the minor for a bit, lighten the mood, give it dynamics. Not really hearing the hook 'pop' like it should. THIS ONE NEEDS A RE-WRITE.

Sounds real indie chicky. But like that darker kinda bjork thing, meets feist. Not the other route, which is that cutesier old timey jazz vocal tone with the exaggerated vibrato that SO MANY of them do. It's unfortunate how there's definitely talent here, you just wish it wasn't so stylized in that pseudo dark jazzy accented pronunciations of things that's becoming the "deep dark" alternative to the cutesy thing. All the great singers take influences yet are totally unique. Why so hard today?

@hkim927 Tuning is Db standard from what I can tell. Chords seem to be (relative to the Db standard tuning) Em and Gmaj for the first verse and Am and Cmaj for the second verse. There are some variations, though. If you look up "Halfsleeper cover" on Youtube, there is a guy that covers this and you can see him/hear him do the correct changes.
