They came from the outside. One day one of the prisoners praied to Aries the God of War he said that he wanted to cause a riot so Aries made swords rain down from the sky (some of the swords speared a few people, but oh well)

i remember i was playing this campaign about attila and bleda the hun and when there were these 20 villagers captured by romans

i had the villagers attack the walls and they broke them down.

then they built towers in the prison and the prison was on a hill so any soldier that came close to the towers got owned.
