this is my favorite version of this song, altho a friend and i put together our dream version of this musical and it was a combination of this album and the broadway version.
Although this version has more power and it's overall louder than the other, I really like how the original version is more chilling with Lucy starting her note before the music and the original lyrics. This is not a bad version though, I just prefer the original.
@FrackasaurusRex This IS the original. This recording is from the "Complete Works" which is the first complete version of Jekyll and Hyde to be published. At this point in time, the show was completely sung through and was about 4 hours long. The show was then rewritten for Broadway, which has the version you're referring to as the "original".

In time they changed a lot the lyrics. Honestly I prefer the version from Braodway with Robert Cuccioli, but this is good too.

I just saw Jekyll and Hyde today with Marti Pellow as the lead and I fell in love with this song; but Anthony Warlow is God. :)
