This is another great performance by my favorite bassist. This piece would be quite interesting to play I'd imagine... I've been trying to find the sheet music, no luck :(

I heard that "Haydn wrote a double bass concerto does anyone know about this?

Yes, Haydn did! Unfortunately its been lost. Dragonetti also actually wrote 10 bass concertos and Sperger wrote 18! but they have not been published.

Que tengas arco alemán, y que Sperger haya sido alemán no significa que el sonido tiene que ser así... además es una pésima pero pésima idea tocar de solista con arco alemán porque, un buen contrabajista sabe que el arco alemán proporciona la sonoridad y brillantes orquestal, sin embargo, el francés es dulce y mucho más nítido y entendible para la interpretación.

Entonces Sperger y Furtok tuvieron una pesima pero PESIMA idea al escribir e interpretar esta pieza con arco alemán? Pero bueno quizas no saben que es un "buen contrabajista" como tu seguramente has de serlo.

You don't get to hear Sperger often, and hearing it done this well is even rarer.
