Magnificent. The Welte is a far sight better than it was when I last heard it in 2000. It barely played.

Hats off to Durward Center for restoring this organ and Hayes McClaran for the other Welte!

I wonder how it used to sound... now it sounds like it's brand new!

@Wurlitzer157 As I said, I heard it about 2000. It played, but the voicing and tuning were very tired sounding. I could best describe it as limping along. My father's family lives about 30 miles away from Columbus, so when in the area I always tried to hit the place. When I was last there a few years ago, the organ had been removed and the place closed. Thankfully the new owners got the organ back. Durward's restoration of this Welte and Hayes McClaran restoration of the other Welte: TOPS!

January second. I have a video taken in October too but at least it was playing a different rolls, and don't you think the rolls are too short?

They are VERY careful about their organs. I asked about the organs in the other room and said they can only be played by the manager, I bet he's the one who can only change the rolls! Plus he wasn't there both days I went!
