God is the only source of truth and goodness and he allowed us this journey to figure that out. We can either recognize He is the way or we can cling to our own way and our own opinions. Regarding comment about Catholicism: Yes, Jesus is referred to as the Son of God. However, He is not considered a separate entity but rather most Christians (and yes, Catholics are Christians) view God as a Holy Trinity inclusive of God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
