It means she's a bunny, those are leftover instincts from wild bunnies digging miles of burrows. Give her some material in a kitty litterpan so she can dig to her hearts content without making too big a mess (don't use clay kitty litter in it though, it's bad for their lungs)

@herondedios all bunnies dig burrows to hide from predators, it is a natural instinct. Try giving her a small covered area with a small entrance. She will treat it as her den(equivalent of a safe bedroom), and once she takes a liking to it you should try to leave it alone as much as possible(ie; do not take her out if she is inside of it, lift it or move it, unless it is absolutely needed), so that she can feel safe inside of it.

For the first few days, it's the mother's job to clean the area, and lick it so the rabbit is more able to urinate and defecate. If it think it's gross, it's just nature.

please note you do not have to give your rabbit a bath or shower.
