  • I am pretty certain the the Athabaskan people are related, in fact I think the language is so close Dineh and Athabaskan can speak to one another. Not sure about we Tlingit.

  • If so, Nizhoni'ye'e doo ya'at'eehgoo asaa' daahaal.ahee'hee!

  • Arent the Tlingit related to the Dineh (Navajo) people in the Southwest?

  • @seantsosie the language is somewhat similar, not a lot but there are a few words

  • @ubloom3 Yea, Ive done research on the Na-Dene Language group back in college. The numbers 1 - 10 sound similiar between Navajo and Tlingit. Yes, there are a few words that sound the same. Others words are used differently, I guess how the languages evolved, such as Denaki - "moose" for u guys right? In Navajo, that means "two horns". Just a thought. :)

  • @seantsosie Linguistically, Yes we are related.

  • Tlingit Heartbeat of Southeast Alaska!
