i have owned three bull terriers and they all have had that natural proction instinct in them. the one i own now is not just protective of the house we live in but also of the road we live in, he will growl at anyone he does'nt know in our road but is friendly to people any where else, i also know of two other EBT and they are the same. bull terriers love there family and really dont like being left alone they are also a very hands on dog, they dont care much for people they dont know.

this sort of training is alright you guys! as long as the dog is in a calm state of mind before you start training it. some breeds will be better than others, its not a case of you shouldn't train bull terriers, masiffs rotties or any guarding breed to be aggresive, because any dog has the tendency to fight or protect, some hav it more than others.
