  • @sethzky77 Your welcome.

  • what is the name of the flint in your area

  • @thewildwest1000 The flint here we find in the creeks it come for all over it was form the old Native tribes that lived here long a go.

  • Thanks for the videos. We might all need to know this stuff to survive someday. Some of us could use this info now, unfortunately most of those people don't have internet handy. But I'm learning while I got it, thank you again. You might be saving my life and I just don't know it yet.

  • I meant do u use a lighter or a native American method

  • @JKE563 Yes i use a lighter the make a fire for this video.

  • Thank you

  • I noticed you have fires in most of your vids how do u make it and could u make a vid showing how? Thank you your videos are awesome to watch

  • @mvdiablo On this fire i used a lighter.

  • @tim3jones Oh thanks for the honesty. I appreciated your video it was very helpful! I am going to try to make this so thanks for showing me what kinds of things you know! Have a great day.

  • Amuzing since danelions are not native to america it was brought over from europe as a fast growing salad green. It's nutricious and edible, most commonly made as tea and with soup. Pretty sure you're confusing dandelion with chicory, chicory root has a coffee flavor, but again it is not native to america, brought over from europe.

  • I bet a clay bowl like that would also be great for acorn leaching since the clay would bind up more of the tannins, especially combined with a little wood ash.

  • Anyone on the right side of Dandelion already says a lot about someone. Now this is just an end to end no frills ride into the past and I just loved it. Love Dandelion "coffee" too. I just finished getting some greens, crowns and roots.

  • What a GREAT vid ! I learned more in three minutes than I learned all day . And NO head banger racket !!!!!! . God bless !

  • I learn a lot from your videos, thank you.

  • Thank you for sharing. I can't believe how far from God's plan we've all become. This video helped open my eyes to getting back to nature. God bless you and yours. Job well done, sir.

  • @BigChiefFan Your welcome, Glad you like my video, God bless.

  • and what do you get!... thats right folks a cup full of dirty water

  • @britelite2657 Dandelion Root is a rich treasury of vitamins and minerals, as well as trace minerals and micronutrients.

  • @Bushcraftpeople Thank you.

  • 5/5

  • man thats good intersting idea that can be worked on many thanks

  • well done..

  • Some things about heating rocks on a fire: No river rocks or rocks with cracks. If rocks contain moisture, they will explode and send shrapnel flying. Also, no red rocks.

  • Wow.. VERY nice! just sucks we dont have clay like that in denmark..

but wow.. i would never have thought about doing it that way!

  • You are the best of the 'survivalists' on You Tube! - I like your style and your knowledge

  • @colliecandle Thank you! :)

  • thanks Tim, I need more exposure to natural living and wilderness survival. Im going to spend a couple years living behind my moms house outside and practice these skills. My goal is to live off the land, nature. I hate this debt-laden consumeristic starbucks/walmart world. Aint gonna pay taxes in the mountains, pay respect to nature and let life be what it is. Society s**** and I want no part of it. There was a way to live before convenience stores and its the best way to live.

  • @babybluesnowden your welcome, Hope my videos help you.

  • can you fire the bowl you made there in the earth to make it harder and cleaner?

  • @MrEhud77 Yes firing the earth bowl will make it harder and cleaner.

  • @tim3jones cool, I wasn't sure if it would fire too well being that the outer portion is in the dirt (pottery novice here)

  • @MrEhud77 I make a hot fire on top of the Earth bowl then clean it out when it is cool.

  • @tim3jones Ah ok, Makes perfect sense. this sure saves time and effort compared to the construction of a wood bowl I'll bet.

  • truly fascinating (O*O)!!!

  • is there a kick to it like coffee? will it get you going? or is it more like tea?

  • @danthman114 it more like tea, The old one's called it native American coffee.

  • @danthman114 i did alittle reading on this plant. its good for your liver...

  • This is fascinating video..thankyou so much..we are so disconnected from the natural world ...I love nature.

  • @vishiqual Thank you, I hear you I love nature to

  • how long do you roast the roots, thank you

  • @cgkeddington roast it in tell it fall's apart when you smash it with a rock.

  • What a natural way to live. It's so far removed from the way I'm living now.

  • @MishuTaste I hear you, I like the old way.

  • Fantastic video!

  • @Ikefis Thank you! :)

  • Cool vid! Thanks!

  • @devrobbiz Thank you... :)

  • but doesnt that taste like dirt?

  • Thank you :)

  • awesome

  • Thank you for making this video and putting the health information in the description. I'm going to do a kitchen version to see if it helps with my kidneys.

  • Your welcome.

  • Dandelion leaves, less than six inches long, are a nice addition to a spinach salad. Gives the bland raw spinach a bit of a bitter twang without making your mouth pucker up. I eat young dandelion leaves raw all the time as a trail nibble.

  • Cool i do to eat young dandelion leaves.

  • Really enjoyed this one. I have never given any thought to early ways of making coffee. I assumed that coffee wasn't a part of the early diet. Does the coffee have caffeine? Thanks again for another interesting video.

    GRADE A

  • No caffeine in it, Thank you.

  • want a trade ?

I just made some acorn coffee ! not bad for my first time althou I needed cream and surgar .

  • Great vid! Never seen the progress of making that kind of a coffee so primitive:) How long did the clay dry?

  • over night. 9 hours

  • Im tellin ya dude... If im ever stuck out in the wilderness or on a camping trip gone bad... I'll survive thanks to you :)
