Thanks for the videos. We might all need to know this stuff to survive someday. Some of us could use this info now, unfortunately most of those people don't have internet handy. But I'm learning while I got it, thank you again. You might be saving my life and I just don't know it yet.
@tim3jones Oh thanks for the honesty. I appreciated your video it was very helpful! I am going to try to make this so thanks for showing me what kinds of things you know! Have a great day.
Amuzing since danelions are not native to america it was brought over from europe as a fast growing salad green. It's nutricious and edible, most commonly made as tea and with soup. Pretty sure you're confusing dandelion with chicory, chicory root has a coffee flavor, but again it is not native to america, brought over from europe.

I bet a clay bowl like that would also be great for acorn leaching since the clay would bind up more of the tannins, especially combined with a little wood ash.
Anyone on the right side of Dandelion already says a lot about someone. Now this is just an end to end no frills ride into the past and I just loved it. Love Dandelion "coffee" too. I just finished getting some greens, crowns and roots.
WOW! The only two ingredients i have around my backyard, mud and dandelion! Now i can make my mom coffee in the morning. Maybe that will get me outta doing chores.
Thank you for sharing. I can't believe how far from God's plan we've all become. This video helped open my eyes to getting back to nature. God bless you and yours. Job well done, sir.
Some things about heating rocks on a fire: No river rocks or rocks with cracks. If rocks contain moisture, they will explode and send shrapnel flying. Also, no red rocks.
thanks Tim, I need more exposure to natural living and wilderness survival. Im going to spend a couple years living behind my moms house outside and practice these skills. My goal is to live off the land, nature. I hate this debt-laden consumeristic starbucks/walmart world. Aint gonna pay taxes in the mountains, pay respect to nature and let life be what it is. Society s**** and I want no part of it. There was a way to live before convenience stores and its the best way to live.
I drink coffee for the caffeine. I don't care if it taste bad,I just need something to wake me and get me going.... Does dandelion coffee contain caffeine? If so how much compared to folgers?
Thank you for making this video and putting the health information in the description. I'm going to do a kitchen version to see if it helps with my kidneys.
Dandelion leaves, less than six inches long, are a nice addition to a spinach salad. Gives the bland raw spinach a bit of a bitter twang without making your mouth pucker up. I eat young dandelion leaves raw all the time as a trail nibble.
Really enjoyed this one. I have never given any thought to early ways of making coffee. I assumed that coffee wasn't a part of the early diet. Does the coffee have caffeine? Thanks again for another interesting video.
Way cool! I love this stuff! Thanks so much for creating this and sharing it. It's really clear how you've showed everything. I've subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

MrEhud77 1 year ago
@MrEhud77 Yes firing the earth bowl will make it harder and cleaner.

@tim3jones cool, I wasn't sure if it would fire too well being that the outer portion is in the dirt (pottery novice here)
MrEhud77 1 year ago
@MrEhud77 I make a hot fire on top of the Earth bowl then clean it out when it is cool.
