@xoallycutiexo i do know how hard it is. i've been dance for Tina's Ports of Paradise for 10 years. i've competed in the Utah Tahiti Fete 4 times and placed 1st every time. i know what it's like to compete. and everytime it's different drum beats. so dont come at me like as asshole lol. it's hard but after experience you learn bigger and better things, i think that if she tried she could pull so many more amazing moves to WOW the judges. simplicity isnt everything. she needs to make them look.

@Ashleysings98 I myself am a Tahitian dancer, and most of my costume pieces are handmade. But the skirt she is using is called a pareo, you can use a sarong or wrap. It's the same exact thing. Just make sure the material isn't too heavy, or it will be difficult to see the motions. For a top, You can get a strapless bra and add shells and materials to make it pretty. You dont need a head piece. A flower will do just fine. You can Google Tahitian dance costumes for more info... Hope I helped(:

Yup, that's what I would call control. When you can move certain areas of the body without moving others, it's just pure control...and lots of really awesome talent! It's also interesting how these movements mimic belly-dancing too. Or maybe visa-versa.
