depends the way u use the archfiend blade, but the eclipse scythe is the best, no the excellent weapon to kill the real archfiend

Use the scythe and spam blood rain combos on him. Usually the time you're in the air is enough to avoid his attacks.

True DS are the best (mobs) dual DS and archfiend blade are the best (bosses) but you should use the scythe on high armored bosses

all i do now with the dual sowrds on him is just get right infront of his face and do aerial combos to his face and he will spam grabs on u. the thing is the he's got butter fingers and that will pretty much keep u safe.

nope, people use the scythe, DS, anything on the archfiend, ironically, the archfiend in either form are very easy bosses, no need for a big strategy or anything, just YYYY, dodge if need to and repeat

the easiest way to beat this faget is to get like right up under his face and keep hit that ball. it stuns the bastard and all he do is raise up then fall back down but u gotta keep hitn em. or u can do the cheat with the eclise a xx yyyy, a xx yyyy. keep usin that with the eclise he will never hit u. nor would he fly away

Now that's weak, that's really weak......in almost every game I've played that includes a huge boss, you can bring it down by hitting the hand. That makes no damn sense at all, does he have his freaking heart or something, in the hand!? Why can't they try to at least make it realistic so that when you hit his chest or his head, then he takes damage, and when you hit him on the fingers it wont show the slightest sign on his lifebar.

yes he does take more damage on his chest, but by being in front of him, it can cause you to take more damage, especially with the fking ray of light bullshit.

Dodge out of the way as its going to hit you, i go on the side where the beam is coming from so Ryu gets into the clear and the beam will pass by the time he reaches the spot

This guy was cake.

True Dragon Sword. Stay under his armpit (left or right) and unleash Undefeatable Demon (YYY) nonstop. His beam will NEVER hit you from the armpit (outside of body) area. Everything else that the Archfiend does can be easily dodged, when necessary.

I actually threw my controller in disgust when I realized that that's all it took - a safe spot with no skill in combat - to defeat the Archfiend.

I got some kind of glitch when i faught this guy, im not complaining because this glitch helped me but it was wierd and too easy.

I used the Blade of the Archfiend and i just ran up to him and just kept slashing, the glitch was he couldn't grab me when he tried >:D
