Holy cow, you're fast! I don't know why, but whenever I watch this level being played (either by me or someone else) I panic and my heart races from the adrenaline and energy this level proves to be. Plus, it's kinda intimidating as hell to lose to this level time and time again, so that's another reason for making me shake when I play. I want to WIN! Ya know, like Charlie Sheen. =P
I remembered I would be stuck on this level as it was tough. King Louie was a toughie I remembered my grandmother had to email Virgin for a help guide in beating him
this guy was my favorite boss it loved how when he was doing the hand jump rope thing that he would be invincible to your banana attacks i always thought it looked so cool
im on this level now and im trying to see what u did cause i swear i keep dying :/ and im running out of lives and it took me FOREVER to get to this level O_O
i play this on retro uprising but i have a glitch on this level where i can't jump high anymore. the level before i had that glitch too but could made it. but with that glitch i never can beat this level!
I don't like the sound it makes, when u hit the bosses..
the SNES one is definately better and more challenging. In the SNES version, King Louie actually jumps up and hangs onto a ledge and shoots down at you, then he runs at you like crazy and stomp the ground causing boulders to fall down on you. It's much tougher than what I'm seeing in this video.
Well on first look you'd assume that. This Louie is in fact much tougher than what I saw of your video (granted he does not drop boulders on you and this playthrough is not on hard mode) but for the mere fact that Louie deflects all of your attacks and is invincible while he's looping his arms in that repetitive pattern which was not the case in video you have of the SNES version where he was pretty much vulnerable anytime. I used my strongest ammo to finish him quickly.
He does he same shooting from the overhanging ledge as in the SNES so there's no discrepancy there. However in the SEGA port, Louie will run to the opposite ends of the screen to ensure you can't get behind him which forces the player to evade his next wave of attack. In your video Louie's charges were nullified by the fact he'd stop to attack and the player could simply attack from behind while Louie was completing his shooting animation.

Basically ear rape, but oh well.

This level is where i was finished on sega md. w/o load and save its really hard to beat this level, and the boss fight was so hard.

Whoops. Let me rephrase one word to make the sentence come out more accurately. "...this level provides."

Wow, Louie looks ten times less scary now than he did when I was a kid! But this nostalgia is great; he was my favorite boss.
