although the film is decent on it's own, unfortunately it's just one of those films where I really don't think they can make a proper adaption of the book. Patrick Bateman dosen't see people's faces in the book - he sees them as things; their clothes, their tastes, their business card. All characters are essentially faceless and this is a pivotal point of the book, as soon as you show a character normally onscreen you break that illusion.
