@Phantomplayz They were great then they came out, but now looking back at it... no. Kirsten Dunst gave stale performances, Tobey Maguire did a decent job. The only actor I can praise is Willem Dafoe. Spider-Man has it's great scenes, at times it get's boring, but Spider-Man 2 was so boring. I tried watching it again recently, but I couldn't get through it. I'm just better off watching this and the cartoon from the '90s.

@TheKennyMarsh Ill agree on Kristen Dunst. She was the wrong choice for Mary Jane. In the cartoon and comics, Mary Jane is suppose to be a smoking hot red head. Which Kristen is NOT even close to being hot. Tobey was decent. I just think the visuals and the vibe of the film was perfect to reflect the original comics. One thing i don't understand, is why the hell did they make Peter in the movies shoot web from his wrists??? He was suppose to develop web shooters, NOT have web come out naturally.

Read my entire post. What I said was "in the comics." In this show, the symbiote is portrayed as bad. But that's not how it is in the comics. The alien was stolen out of its home by Spider-Man in the Secret War. Then it helps Spider-Man fight crime even better than he could before. Finally, Spider-Man learns that its alive and abandons it on a strange alien world: Earth.

Venom is Spider-Man's biggest mistake. Venom is the responsibility that he shirked.

To me, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin (Norman and Harry), Venom, and Hobgoblin are the definitive Spider-Man villains. To me, each one represents a part of Peter, and is a reflection of him one way or another.

In my opinion, this has got to be the most emotionally satisfying (and therefore the greatest) portrayal of Venom outside the original comics. Certainly there are differences between the original portrayal in the comics and this one, but the core of the two versions is the same; they are both anti-heroic characters who believe Spider-Man to be the only real villain, while regarding themselves as the only true heroes.
