From what I read, the guitarist on the recording is Billy Harrison who says that too often, credit was unduly given to the then-little known Jimmy Page. However, I don't know if Billy is featured on this "Noise TV" clip, not performed live anyway.

I first heard this at the age of 15. Can you imagine, very conservative pop music being played on the radio then, this absolutely shook my world! I recently discovered that Jimmy Page, guitarist of the Yardbirds and then Led Zeppelin played guitar on this recording and on many other artists recordings of that era!

@MyFatherWasAJunkie89 actually belfast boy Billy Harrison, the guitarist for THEM, played lead on this. pagey was only hired to play rhythm on the decca sessions in '64 which produced this and the fantastic b side GLORIA amongst others, he was only in for a couple of days and never played lead on any of them. its just a story.

I've been a fan of Jim Morrison for the whole my life and on one occasion I've noticed in rock magazine that there is a guy over there with the same second name as Jim so I decided to check out what is all about.It was a long ago and I didn't know a damn thing about him nor his band so I got both their albums and you know what..as if I have discovered the whole new world.First impression to their music? It reminded me to Animals and a bit to Doors as well especially due to the sound of organ.

@ddraguti Jim actually got on stage with Van and Them early in his career in Los Angeles. The Doors drummer has said that Jim got most of his stage personality from Van after seeing Them perform. It's pretty easy to see the similarity.

Great great tune and great performance by the young Van and his mates. For a long time I thought that this and other blues tunes were written by the band members or the band themselves. I learned. That song hits hard on a hot summmer night, when driving on muddy or hots, dusty parish roads with nats, mosquitoes and mudbugs flying all around you, while one might encounter snakes/alligators in the roadway. Things can be "loose" in "Loos-si-ana!"
