@73WEBSTER ; I honestly don't know. I think Ed King may have. The sliding around reminds me of Gary's solo's. But there are a few movements that sound like something Ed would come up with. Hope that helped ya ♪♫♪♫
@73WEBSTER The first one I think was originally done by Gary Rossington and the second and third solos by Allen Collins.-I am surer of the second one which is clearly Allen's style of play the third is similar to it. But the fourth one (not on this recording) was definitely Gary -that thick sound is his Les Paul.
this was the first solos i ever played when i played for about a month, back in august or september, i learned it by ear and i play it the same exact way.
hey thanks for posting this man, i don't think i would have figured it out without this. nice v btw...i have a '76 le gibson explorer natural finish i put gold pick up covers and gold top hat knobs on it so it looks more '70's ish
do you need a job?I can put you to work here in Muscle Shoals Al,you would have to play for me,but rent is free, all you need is your guitar, let me know.

man i could you tab out that intro for me...i learned it a different way and yours just sounds slightly better....your efforts would be greatly appreciated..this is one of my favorite songs and my dads favorite..he passed away 6 years ago and it drove me to pick up the ol guitar again..this was the first song that came to mind and i cant seem to get the notes right on it..thanks
Thank you so very much for the friend invite. I posted ealier but it did not show up. This is of my many favorites by Skynryd, thank you for doing it justice! Great cover! Awesome!

This is a "95" Gibson Flying "V". I paid $320.00 for the custom "Mother of Pearl" inlay work. This is my top dog and I love to play it. Thanks for the compliment.
Where did you get the fret work done? I got a Gibson SG, the faded brown type, and its got the half moon crescent inlays. They're cool and all but i always liked trapazoid better.
Great stuff man, I loved it. What kind of guitar is that? (I know a Flying V copy, but which make). I always saw that one in your pics, but never could figure it out. Either way, it sounds great. Great playing

BluQuartz 1 year ago
@BluQuartz ; this is a 1995 Gibson Flying V bought from original owner by me in 1998.
I had the custom mother of pearl blocks inlays put in because I like that style of neck inlay.
The amp I'm using in video is a Peavey practice amp with one 12 inch speaker.
I adjust the gain just enough to produce a little break up for sustain and REVERB REVERB REVERB .....glad ya enjoy it.
Take Care.
