For the ending song it is also a part of the Swan Lake Suite but I forgot what it was called. I believe it may have been from one of Odette's dances...but I can't recall. Just got back from a tech rehearsal, so my brain is fried at the moment. Lol. But just search up the music from the Swan Lake and I'm sure you will find it.

I've been to a lot of Broadway shows in my time, and this scene ranks among one of the all-time greatest moments ever shown on a stage anywhere. I cry in sheer awe every single time I watch it.

I saw Billy Elliot last night in Chicago when Giuseppe played Billy and this scene was BY FAR my favorite in the show. It just gave me a heartwrenching impact of how amazing it all was. How Billy was dancing with his ideal self as a ballet dancer. Plus I knew I recognized the song, but I wasn't sure what from. I asked my friend I went with, and she said Swan Lake (obviously) but it's one of those tunes where you feel as though it's lived in you before. That's why I love Tchaikovsky. LOVE! :D

hey! I've got a question..In Billy Eliot there are male swans and usually girls play the swans' part, does anyone know why?? I mean, why do boys play the girl's part in Billy Eliot?

because he's performing the matthew bourne version, which was re adapted and all the swans are male to show like the power of the swan

we're studying it at a-level, just come home from seeing it, it was amazing, i'd deffo recommend it to anyone :)

its not on the cd. it's the first act from tchaikovsky's swan lake.

swan lake is the ballet billy elliot is in in the last scene from the movie.

Matthew never danced on Broadway. He was on West End two years ago. You saw either Kiril, Trent or David.
