you need to use the Loop Region, keep the mouse clicked and then drag the Region in blue color covering the part you want to cut. In general, I cut a part and then paste it, to get the two parts cut :)

Make sure to put the image on the very upper video track, or else, you risk to have it covered by an upper event. I explained this in the Third video: the Images Management

Look at video 3rd or 4th in the playlist. Notice that when the video event is very small, you can always zoom it :)

I do agree. Although my computer is really good, I still have to lose my video progresses because it blocks often. I came from 9.0 to 11.0 all at once and up to now I do prefer the old version :/

It's a video effect. I am not sure if there is in the Sony Standard effects. Maybe you need a plugin to have it

The X button is made with the same purpose as windows :) it means that you just closed the Video Preview video :) So just go on View, and tick on 'Video Preview'. The Preview will appear again =)

How do you set up a time end in the video? Like i want my video to end at 3 minutes but i dont know where to do that.

You put a time end simply selecting the Loop Region. As default, SV11 will render just the part inside the Loop Region. If you want the video to end at the 3rd minute, just create a Loop region from 0:00:00 to 3:00:00

nice video...but how do you render a video in HD without withing using alota gigs ..because when i used this software acouple mths back i made a 5min video & the save was 16GB which is too big & a friend told me there was an option to save in hd that would drop it to under a gig but couldnt remember what it was...dont know if was true or not what he said

this file is around 180MB and it is in HD, as you can see this does not depend by the size, but by the size of rendering

I have the vegas movie maker program. It looks almost the same as the one you are showing. I think mine is the older version of it. It keeps freezing up everytime I edit a video. Do you know what would cause that? Thanks!

SV should show you a message displaying the error, what does it say?
