I use a combination of effects, including gaussian blurs, color refinement, contrast and brightness, black and white, glow, etc.

Naturally, but this is very hard to portray in a video. You gotta remember, I spent 5 years on an Air Force base as an enlisted member. I am quite familiar with the sound of a jet engine.

The problem with making it louder in audio, is that I would have to signifigantly lower the Db of the whole video or at least portion to give an even intelligable definition of how loud it truly is, which signifgantly distorts the rest of the audio to a rate which is unnacceptable.

Just turn your speakers up ;)

but it's still an amazing piece of editing.

Naturally, and I especially know this having been an aircraft mechanic for some years in the USAF. However, with ear plugs, it would be fine, and a common camera will self modulate to keep extreme distortion from happening, which is what this video depicts.

nice clip cody, looks really real! the sound is lagging a bit, i had the same problem because my sound was 48Khz, optimal is 41.0Khz but sony vegas supports 44khz as lowest but it works.

The regular film is done at the same frequency as the this clip, but does not lag. I really have no idea why it has such a problem.
