  • Wow...my favorite song from my favorite band to come out of the mid 1990s Seattle grunge scene (not to mention featured in one of my favorite movie ever) covered by my current favorite band. It must be Christmas!

  • Now that is how you cover a great song!

  • what's cooler is i read your comment exactly when he sang it :) Nice timing. If I were blindfolded, I'd swear this was PJ. IMO, it does sound like Eddie. Isn't that the point when you cover something?

  • @ForDoverUSA

A cover's whatever you want it to be... A faithful homage, or a radical reworking. Each has as much 'point' as the other. In fact, it's a greater compliment to the songwriting if a song holds up well when performed in a radically different style.

  • @demo23nz True, but you must admit that he sounds just like eddie. I think if it's so radically different, it's not a cover. You're just ripping the lyrics. I get it man believe me. Art is my life.

  • Well done, boys.

  • wow i love these guys even more.

  • Love the song from my beloved band covered by my another beloved band

  • a million cover bands could not do better than this - this is genuine

  • great cover

  • Great version of a great song.

  • Man! A Band that loves Springsteen and Covers Pearl Jam?! They must be good! They must be great... it must be GASLIGHT ANTHEM!

How i've waited for such a Band!

  • at 1:40 when line comes up "and the barrel shakes...aimed directly at my head" someone in the audience (the person making the video maybe?) makes a gun pointing at their head with their fingers. How cool is that almost 20 years after it was written and halfway around the world in Italy at a concert for a different band people still know this song...down to the words and all. Its not like State was ever a big hit on MTV or radio or anything...just a testament of what a great band Pearl Jam is.

  • @burnmeinthestars5 sorry for the late reply but I love your comment :-)

  • Great song covered by a fantastic band. What's not to like?

  • This is a great cover, wish they had done it when they were in Seattle

  • Love this band but nobody can top Eddie Vedder.........

  • ha ha - great cover. When they played this live in Calgary he did not say it was Pearl Jam song and most of the crowd was completely clueless...ha ha.

Great Band, great songs, great cover...

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hmmm this is a very good cover.

I never liked Gaslight Anthem [they're from the town next to me] before this. But I'm definitely liking this performance. I shall check out others.

  • @sukiyaki113 so is it because they're from the town next to you, you don't like them?

  • More or less.

Nah, just kidding. I have a soft spot for them because of their location, but I never liked their stuff so much. I'm trying to get into them.

  • Great to see a Pearl Jam cover where the lead singer doesn't try to sound like Eddie!! Hail Hail The Gaslight Anthem!

  • i second that.

  • Pearl Jam and Italy are inseparable. GA just realize that, perhaps. :)

  • cazzo me li son persi...spero di rivederli presto sul suolo italico

  • grazie camillo!!! un gran ricordo per una serata piena zeppa di rnr come piace a noi:-) rob

  • Oh god!
