I was lucky enough to find this amazing title at Walmart when the it was announced that the game was going to be pulled off the shelves because of the Islamic Chant that played during Asad's stage. It's truely a shame, this game was one of the original Xbox's hidden gems. I was lucky enough to find the last copy of the game before it was pulled.

I agree this song is good. Maybe the reason this theme is so controversial is of how the clip was used. Other tracks only use part of the verse that lasts for three seconds and is said only once (not counting the loops). They don't repeat it over and over again like here as a large part of the background.

But I doubt that's the main reason. For a fighting game, it had poor reviews and low sales. Why re-release a failed product? Especially when you tore a unique song from a character?

This game got heavily criticized and black balled. This game may not have been the best but overall I've seen much worse fighting games before. But the one thing this game has an advantage over is that its BGM pwns most other fighting game music out there. The tracks were well out together and really captured an underground feel to this game Asad's theme along with Daeva are one of the best I've heard in a fighting game.
