  • Two Antonios who wrote amazing large choral pieces! Lotti's is closer to my heart though <3

  • This is what the angels sing in heaven (and I'm not religious).

  • This is what the angels sing in heaven.

  • @Jeremiae Or Lotti stuck in his late renaissance ways...

  • This must be what Heaven sounds like

  • @jutboy100 Really this music brings Heaven on the earth,in our hearts.Glory to Lord Jesus Christ!

  • @jutboy100

    exactly what I thought

  • I absolutely love the tension in this piece. As the performers sing each phrase, it is as though they are pulling taffy. Stunning.

  • Alessandro Striggio - Missa "Ecco si Beato Giorno" à 40

  • it's amazing, sounds of angels. i'd realy like to see the sheet music.

  • wonderful... who is the painter of the picture that we see during the music, it is very very mistic...

    thanks

  • Very good, but I suggest the performance of "Cantemus Mixed Choir" at 2007 European Grand Prix for Choral Singing".

    Thanks for sharing this opus

  • waw so effing beautiful!

  • what are they saying?

  • @simplicity171 "He (Christ) was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried"

  • @AndreaSPitaim thanks

  • angelic

  • bellissimo

  • i agree with mauraargomaniz. this is very good version, but Sixteen are perfect singers, i listened to them on naxos music library, and i can say only wow. and, yes, Sixteen are mixed choir, you can check their website.

  • The Sixteen are not all male - they're a mixed choir. Are you thinking of Chanticleer?

  • This is pretty good, but i like the version done by The Sixteen better. The fact that they are all males gives the song a quality that really gets to you.

  • i'm completely blown away!

  • Wooooooooonderfulllllllll! I can't beleive it. Absolutely amazingggg

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 16 voices?! That's crazy...amazing.

  • Spem in alium by Tallis it ain't, not quite, but it has something of the same wonderful multiple-choir sound: it's a great piece for four four-part choirs, and the performers are indeed very good and carefully directed, far as I can tell. You can get a pdf of the score free from ChoralWiki if you're better at reading music than I am and want to follow along at home.

  • How did this music get 628 views but only 4 people thus far have commented? On top of that, the comments are only sentence fragments.

Not only is the composition top-notch, the singers must have had extensive training and direction.

    Thanks again for sharing, Harmonico!

  • Yes, voices. Exactly 16 voices!! Great!!

  • nice voices.....
