  • His hand when he catches it doesn't recoil the ball just stops, also when he throws it back you don't actually see it leave his hand and the pitcher doesn't even look at him.

  • FAKE neither the batter nor the hitter reacted!

  • All morons, this video is fake and to think it isn't is ridiculous!

First off notice how Longoria throws his arm up to catch the ball even before he sees whats going on.

Second, The camera man wouldn't have just stood there and watched the ball coming towards him.

And Thirdly, this is batting practice in the MAJORS and they would have a cage behind the batter plus the reporter and Longoria wouldn't be able to have an interview where something like this could happen let alone with turned backs..

  • This is real it's impossible to put something like that and if you knew how fast a ball like that goes when it's hit you'd know it's real

  • If the ball is fake, where the fuck does it come from? If you actually watch it then you see the ball all the way from the bat and it doesn't change. I personally can't see why it isn't real.

  • fake fake fake fake fake fake fake

  • Its real

  • this would be more realistic if the news reporter wasnt shit :L

  • its fake the real ball went in the complete opposite direction at 0:06, then a bigger white ball magically appeared at 0:07 flying towards Longoria which he catches.

  • @sinearteLFC the wind is too strong xD

  • fake

  • at 0:7 seconds you see a fake ball

  • its fake cause theres no news channel at the bottom

  • you cant hit a baseball and make it curve THAT much

  • the ball went straight

  • Comment removed

  • if you dont know baseball, dont comment...thats all i gott say

  • A ball hit hard enough to curve like that would have gotten from the hitter to the reporters dome much quicker. also someone would have yelled look out

  • If this was real the batter would have reacted

  • @pgoettsch goodpoint lol thumbs up to him

  • haha, you can hear the voice of his teammates, but when the camera films the pitcher, he don't care. even does the person who punches the ball

  • Real or fake, who cares? It's just a cool video. Stop being a bunch of cynical a-holes.

  • @sinnie9300 the ball looks a lot bigger as it approaches them. its called relativity. dumb ass

  • You can see the seams on the bal when it gets close. and foul balls do slice or hook. its called spin. this is probably real.

  • batter lines up to bat again, no "watch out!" and pitcher looks toward batter and pulls other ball out…. come on… how can anyone think its real? hahaha

  • no guys.. it's real

    there is no second ball

and what you see in the background is the same as when you are watching golf.

    it's sure real

  • if you froze it at 0:08 you see the real ball

  • Fake

  • fake.

  • THIS LAMJUCK

  • Fake

  • LIKE A BOSS!!!!!!!! NO DOUBT!!

  • YOU UGLY

  • HOW ...................

  • Spider- sense!

  • All these idiots analyzing the ball leaving the bat in the first few seconds... LOL.

You can tell it's fake simply because no news broadcasting channel wouldn't plaster their logo in the corner of an interview or on the reporter's microphone.

  • yea this fake shit i was ganna say

  • not even evan just a look a like

  • fake*

  • facke

  • The real ball goes straight on between six and seven seconds. He catches the CG ball then. fake dudes

  • lol so fake...

  • If it was real they would not keep making the same videos over and over and over again.........………FAKE!

  • i think its fake cos the man who shot the ball act like nothing happened

  • you can see the ball go down the 3rd base line if you look at the right side of the screen

  • notice that the ball was in his hand before it actually reach him..

focus on his hand in the replay " totally face"

i'm sure there is something not right

  • @goldenpyramid181

are you stupid? if YOU knew anything about baseball you would know that ball could not have taken such a serious angle like that.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually i looked at it closer and ive been to a rays game. Their field is a dome which means behind the stands would not be anything it would be a walll and it says gillette on the second deck of stamds in the background and gillette is a commercial producing company

  • @gigi1182 your so dumb kid. He was smiling because they went to the playoffs the year before and they had a great shot at doing it again (which means all the players get bonuses which, in case you dont know, is extra cash.) now that would make just about anyone smile you dumbazz

  • Yea theres no doubt that was real because if you watch the angle of the bat, where the ball hit the bat (which can but spin on the ball which causes it to curve) it would have been real not fake that lady would have been DEAD if not for Evan

  • Comment removed

  • I'm watching the Yankee Rays game and they said it was fake so ..=Fake

  • @imadog35 .. if Evan was your cousin he would've told you this was a fake- he did it for a commercial. You can see the grin on his face when he's being told by the director to reach up and catch. It was filmed on a blue screen- you can tell by the difference in lighting. Anyone with a brain and knowledge of how video special effects works can tell it's fake.

  • For those who think this is real, how the hell can you possibly think that? Only a superhuman would be able to make a barehanded no-look catch like that, and Evan Longoria is not a superhuman. Otherwise he would have beaten my Rangers in the ALDS. GO RANGERS!

  • Of course it's fake. It was a gillette commercial I think.

  • Forget the ball, the fact that the batter has no reaction to the catch and is already in position to hit the next pitch proves that this is a fake.

  • FUCK! You guys are such fucking morons, because at 0:06 when the "real" ball goes by, is the pitcher pitching the ball. And you know it's the pitcher, because when the camera moves to the right at 0:12, you can see that's were the pitcher is. This is real.

  • FAKE!!! But still fun to watch XD

  • It's fake you morons... read the top comment.

  • That is their terrible fundamentals right there. The batter can't even avoid a foul ball.

  • real.....Evan Longoria is my cousin and i believe this truly happened so yea fuk yall if yall dnt believe it and burnit01 u real j/s and truly baseball is a sport where what happens happens if someone gets hurt u dnt stop until umpire or someone calls time and yuh cnt do tht while ball is in play so thx!

  • @imadog95 Dude, youre a dog, how the fuck is he your cousin?

  • @imadog95 lol i don't think anyone understood what you just wrote

  • real.....Evan Longoria is my cousin and i believe this truly happened so yea fuk yall if yall dnt believe it and burnit01 u real j/s

  • It's real

  • Nice video...Man people hate every thing in this world..Who cares if it's real or fake?..Just watch it.....

  • It's fake, for three reasons. One, no shout-out by the teammates for a warning as soon as they saw it turn in mid-air.

Two, no reaction from the pitcher or first base-man that their ball had almost done someone quite a bit of harm, but rather, they just keep on going.

Three, at the last second, the ball warped to Longoria's hand.

For the people who claim that the ball turning in mid-air is a reason that it's fake, have you ever seen a real baseball thrown? DERP!

  • go longo

  • NÃO é fake ... no " 7º segundo " do video da pra ver o arremessador jogando a bola la por traz para o rebatedor ! confiram ai ..

  • Why the fuck are these people saying this is fake???

  • @TheUnknown000777 because it is fake!

  • It;s obviously fake because the batter shows zero reaction to almost killing the reporter. He just stands there getting ready for the next pitch.

  • you see the real ball at 0:06 if you pause really quick

  • @bliink182 nice observation man good eye

  • @bliink182 Your wrong that is the ball going into before he hits it. Up vote plz

  • start it at about 0:03 right when he hits the ball it looks like its about to go down the third base line... the real ball. that cuts out and then a larger, more white ball is the one edited in that longoria 'catches'

its fake. but its really good... really well done.

  • Comment removed

  • @sinnie9300 it's not well done dude you can even see the ball being hit straighy in the slow motion replay they do themselves lol...

  • its not real look at the background its a gillete commerical it says gillete on all the poster boards

  • I heard than Longoria was actually born in Smallville, Kansas.

  • Wow ! Is this real ? I mean if it's a set up, it's a dam good one !

    Doesn't he look cool though?

How they do it ? Photoshop ?

  • You FUCKING IMBECIL, PHOTOSHOP IS USED TO EDIT PICTURES, NOT VIDEOS, AND PAINTSHOP PRO IS MUCH BETTER WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP SAYING PHOTOSHOP SHIT ASS CUNT FUCK YOU YOU ARE RUINING THE INTERNET

  • @policered

Oh, so videos aren't really pictures? Its a series of pictures, changing picture around 24/25 pictures, or frames, per second. (25FPS)

    YOU INHABILE FUCK

  • so fake rofl

  • they should ahve had someone yell something out before he turned around to make it more realistic.

  • thats like the baseball girl...lol who cares its awesome

  • fake???

  • Stop stealing other peoples videos to get Views...

  • @celatino NO BOBDLY IS NOT STEALING

  • @YoungTizzleBeRappin english plz...

  • Goddamit! I thought this was a video of Eva Longoria.

  • not real, but damn its nice.

  • Either way it's cool...

  • Totally fake, but cool. They already said on ESPN that it wasn't real and it was filmed for a commercial for the Rays.

  • That's amazing if it's real.
