  • just use Utagoe

  • whats the name of this application or an application that will do something like this??

  • When i do this i can't hear anything??

  • looks like Cool Edit Pro 2.0 to me

  • I believe this is made by simply inverting the phase of the sample. That is why we need to get the exact same instrumental track. When you invert the phase of the sample it cancels the sound so nothing is heard.....pretty cool though!

  • that sheeit is CRAZYYYY!! thanx this is gunna help alot

  • This is the closest ive seen to getting it perfect, too bad i dont have adobe audition, wonder if i can use audacity...

  • you're the besttttt!!!!

but i don't understad how to make an acapella..

so may you make acapella to the song "Where them girls at" of david guetta for me?

please do it for me i need this acapella!

there is instrumental in youtube to this song

  • @yuvalzis that song blows dick

  • This is a well known method. The only problem is that getting an instrumental track is usually as hard as getting the acapella. However you can use this method to remove bits of a song, for example if there is a time when the kick plays all by itself, then you could use this technique to remove all kicks, and once you've done that you may find that the claps are now playing all by themselves, so you could remove them too. Then clean up with a bit of EQ and you can get pretty close.

  • watt program! is this??

  • this is great.... is almost so obvious once you get it.

Its like when you dj, and if the kicks are not alligned properly they phase, and can disapear completely. The waves cancel each other out. GENIUS

  • does it work with differents parts of the same song?

  • I personally thought that this video was VERY helpful! He's just informing us! Sorry if your guyses time is so fucking precious.

  • 10 people didnt understand the difference between a peak and a valley, this is basic geography..

  • It sounds like the guy just figured out how to do this. Flipped, inverted, opposite, backwards, peaks are valleys! valleys are peaks! Shouldn't take 8 and a half minutes to explain this shit genius.

  • @ianchrislayman hahahahaha

  • @billyvampire First of all, thanks for the tutorial.. One thing though.. How do I align the two tracks?

  • sorry but when i press invert, nothing changes at the instrumental peaks and valleys :S :S any help please?

  • Dont watch this, Just invert the instrumental and boom you have an acapella ;)

  • do you know any program i can download and can move the vocal out and make it into a instrument? if you know or don't, please let me know. Thank you for your time and thank you for share this with us. Look forward to hear from you soon.

  • USELESS, where am i gonna get the exact composite versions of each other.

  • what song is this?

  • and is it possible to do this without the instrumental version of the song?

    Peace

  • NICE!!! Thanks man, is this possible in other programs except for Adobe Audition? Or would it work with something like fruity loops?

  • that was about 8 mins too long.

1 get the instrumental and the original.

    2 invert the instumental.

    3 line the peaks up.

    4 done.

  • I like how you stole NFX's video.

  • Nice so im asumeing you can do the same thing with vocals.

  • @b1aflatoxin dnt complain, you were taught be happy.

  • @massmayhem12 Your right!!!

I did get a little heavy handed with my comment,

that's why I removed it a minute ago. Thanks for sticking up for a teacher of knowledge. This video taught me something, and for a progressive like me, that's all that matters at the end of the day. :0)

    -b-

  • woww!!

  • this does not work!!!!!!!!!! can somebody just give me the im illy acapella t.i please i need it please!!!!!!!!

  • Lol.. Thank u...

  • Wow thanks bro

  • Is this possible with a rock song where as you wouldnt have the instrumental?

  • hey thx man..i get it ..sample inversion...i always wondered how ppl got accappellas of songs so lined up properly with zero background music... this is very helpful

  • what software?!

  • Hi Macknull, he used Cool Edit Pro, which is now Adobe Audition.

  • cool, it didn't work on Sony Vegas :p

  • adobe audition 2 was called cool edit pro!!!

  • i tried AV Music Morpher Gold to see if i could make some acapellas, its sucks so much ballz lol

  • anybody want adobe audition 3.0

  • @hoodboi25 i would. how do i get it?

  • OMG how many times does he have to go over highlighting the difference between a normal wave length and an inverted one! I got it the 1st time you said it......was still the same after the 24th time.

  • very nice simple tutorial.. question.. does that mean if i have a song and its acapella and do the same thing.. i would get the instrumental??

  • try it, who knows what will happen

  • Comment removed

  • Correct.

  • nice. dude. thanks a bunch!

  • This is so fucking awesome ! ! ! However, too bad my wish songs dont have instrus available ... Killer though, thanks !

  • wow! this is concept is actually so cool.

  • if i don't have instrumental,How can I do that ?

  • you can get AV Music morpher gold i think that strips the acapella off by itself mate. try pirate bay.

  • I'm thinking the same thing...

  • this is fuking not useless, yo could use it to remix sh!t yo dumbass

  • this guy is boring me to death just get to the fucking point!!!

  • nice try but crap cause its useless

  • this is great and all but what prog is this and how can i get it?!?!

  • Adobe Audition, you can download for free off a torrent or spend a load on it.

  • what happens if you don't have the instrumental? like if it doesn't exist?

  • omg... that makes so much sense that when u invert an instrumental and line it up with the original song its gonna take out the instrumental leaving the acapella.... where y is the vocals and x is the instrumental meaning the whole song is (x+y), then (x+y) +(- x) = y (the vocals) ... damn why didnt i think of that?

  • hahahah:D i like the sarcasme :P

  • Comment removed

  • Sick. Thanks.

  • huhuhuhuhu i cant do it..why? help pls..i already inverted but nothings happen.the peak and valey are the same usual..why?

  • niice, what song is that? :S

  • Comment removed

  • Tony Yayo ft. Eminem & Obie Trice -drama setter

  • this doesnt work on ALL songs. even if you have it exact

  • Holy smokes, man! I've been looking for old school Acapellas for the longest... wow... I'm gonna try this technique. Thanx much!

  • oh shit it works lmao your the man u do kinda still hear the beat in the back but when u remix it and put another beat to the acapella it works

  • I've had no luck with this technique in Acid, Fruity Loops, or Audacity. Neither seems to want to line up the samples exactly right. Very disappointing.

Heads-up to anyone who wants to use those programs.

  • update: It seems I've just picked the wrong song. "Throw some D's" doesn't work in any program. Dang.

  • audacity isnt the best for this type of stuff...ive done it for instrumental, and mixing both of them with one lyric, but thats it....how much would this software run you??

  • what program is that?

  • Cool Edit, I have one myself ^^

  • It' s actually Adobe Audition now, since Adobe bought out Cool Edit.

  • isnt it adobe soundbooth?

  • no it dont work in audacity

  • I'm going to invert it. It is going to be the EXACT INVERSE... meaning it will be inverted. See... peak peak peak peak peak, valley valley valley valley valleeeeeeeeey... here it goes up, but here it goes down because it is INVERTED. It's the opposite. I'm not sure I made this TOTALLY CLEAR. Here it goes up, and here it goes down, here it was a peak but as you can see, it became a valley. Peak peak peak. Valley valley fuckin valley. It's the opposite, the mirrored image. You know, i've INVERTED.

  • I know how to get around needing an instrumental version to extract an acapella from a full version of a song. It doesn't always work, mind you, and I figure the smart ones should be able to figure it out (unlike you, I'm greedy with my secrets).

Cool tutorial, great food for thought.

  • do this work in auda city XD

  • impressed... good vid!!!!!!

  • boooring . . . . .

  • the song is Drama Setter by Tony Yayo Ft. Eminem

  • Does this realy works??

Which software should i use do this??

  • wut is the sog on this vidio?!?!? plz tell me thanks

  • oh my goh this works

i made a acapella with this an is amaxing

    thank you so much

thanks to you i can create the rest of my album :-D

  • what is the name of the software ????

  • cool edit pro 2000

  • what song are you using?

  • thanks for sharing

  • God man you took to long to explain something hella simple...Thank you tho, it was informational.

  • this guy could have made the same video in 2 minutes instead of 8 minutes, peak peak peak

  • thats his style, its nfx though

  • lol true but he did give me a better understanding on how people do it

  • omg man, what do you use for it??

  • I got it to work on some parts, but you gotta do some major cutting of the instrumental and line it up properly, for some parts the acapella played alone then soon after it went back to the norm u just gotta do major editing.

  • this is good but the guy kept reapeting what he was saying and he took forever to do it...i know he was showing it and explaining it but you dont have to say it like a million times before you actally do it...

  • oh come on, his not actually teaching it normaly he's using a video so he just was talking all that to make his best effort to explain the subject by the most general way... it's better take all that time and avoid a lot of questions than do it very sample and let it unclear... and men u say it just like it took 30 min... were just almost 9 so i don't find reasonable u're critics and any other one like this one... Well anyway... Thx for the video!!

  • thanks so much for this!

  • Absolutely AWSOME!!!! Thanks for sharing this man!!! Now I can take other ideas in my mind. Its simple but effective. Great tutorial, nice attitude.

  • this DOES work. have been doing it for 3 years now ... just have never done it with Adobe.

  • what do you use for that?

  • That's brilliant! Each wave cancels out each other when inverted. That's just incredible! Good job for figuring this out!!!!!

  • Absolute legend. wanted to know how to do this for ages.

    Thanks so much mate!

  • Niiiice! This is awesome! And it's worked for me a few times, although you could still hear the instruments a bit, but I didn't expect it to be perfect. Some don't quite work, but I guess its not exact or something. Ah well. Thanks for this!

  • BOTH songs were 192kbps, 44KHZ in each case and NEITHER one worked!

  • Yup... Sorry 2 say it DOESN'T work lol. Tried it with 2 different songs & both instrumentals/full versions were of the same quality in each test... At least Adobe Audition will get some sales out of this clip tho!

  • Anyone know where to get this from??

  • thanks a ton man god bless

  • Thank you so much, your very great at tutorials, thank you

  • What exactly do you mean when you say finding two track of the same quality? NFX Can you please explain in detail?

    OR

Let me make sure i understand this correctly:

You find two songs that are a like they

have to be the same song.. could be mixed

by two different people but the quality of the songs have to be the same.. is this right or not?

  • Get the instrumental of one song and the same original song, dont use mixed ones they wont work as well, they should be same quality (bitrate: 192 etc...)

    Same song though.

  • The man who did this tutorial, had already sad the name of the program ot first few seconds. Its acapella.

  • Thank you very much :D

  • Thanks for your comment! I know this teqniche it s really useful!hehe cool=P

  • fuck you this sucks it doesnt wokr

  • OMG!!!! GLAD I RAN INTO THIS!!!!

  • what program is this

  • sweet man ty now i can make a whole bunch of remixs u rule

  • i've learned alot from ur tutorials...thx alot n' keep um comin

  • Mozart - it looks Cool Edit he's using. Or Audition, they are the same. This will work in any software as it's sumple science = two equally opposing waves will cancel each other out. Whether it's sound or even water.

  • can u use adobe audition 1.5, becuz i can almost get the acapellas but not all the way

  • Amazing!!! Thank you!! your awesome.

  • drama setter

tony yayo ft. eminem & obie trice

  • what song is tha

  • All Praise the Billy!. this is a fantastic demo for all us remixers and DJ`s who are after a way of getting that acapella we need for a mix.

Much love from Bristol UK-nice one Billy

I`m off to play with Cool edit 2.1 thanx

  • holy fuck that is coo ima use that shit or try to

  • Amazing...Good stuff, :)

  • man that was cool, i only wish i found this out years ago!!! that software your using tho looks very similar to cool edit pro though. just in case im wrong, would the procedude work in cool edits multitrack?

  • thanks man u are great

  • thanks... (Musicheights dot com)

  • Go check out the rest of my tutorials. Click on my name.

  • Nitroburn is right, 90% of the music I listen it's virtually impossible to get an instrumental version

  • i take that the same can be done with the original and an acapella to get an instrumental

  • Sample inversion is easy. Finding the 2 exact quality versions of the song is harder.

  • great stuff m8

that was drama setter, tony yayo n obie

  • cool edit pro or adobe audition

  • What's the name of these software plz ?

  • adobe audition 2.0

  • obie trice ? try eminem , tracks called drama setter with yayo

  • awesome demo of sample inversion...which track was that by obie trice?
