Some filipinos abandoned traditional courting. Nowadays, people seem to do things backwards. A couple will live together, have a child and then get married....then they'll realize they're not really meant for each other and will get separated :(  I think the "harana" thing doesn't exist anymore and you have better chances of seeing it in old movies.
