Hey! Um....I was wondering if oil pastels would work to draw a realistic face (oil pastels in chalk form) :) amazing drawings!

I have tried oil pastels but could never get on with them. The techniques used in pastel pencil portrait work is unique and I don't think oil pastels would work in the same way.

For Christmas I bought myself the complete box set of all 90 Derwent Pastel Pencils in a nice presentation box....I've just thrown them in the bin..!!.... FANTASTIC paintings Colin...all the best Boshy.
