LOL when they show the mona lisa from the back you can see that its painted on a canvas then the guy shows up and says "its real" when the actual painting is painted on a solid piece of wood and not a canvas.

I dont see how that can be real.

The director could have looked it up before, I guess nobody studied art on the set.

This plot had some legs until they showed the goddamn MONA LISA. I'm am so fuckin tired of the cliched idea that this ugly ass painting is the epitome of human creativity. Mix it up a little, show a ivory warrior mask from the Benin Empire or a Mokume Gane Samurai sword by Denbei Shoami or even a friggen Frida Kahlo painting for once.

This is one my favorite movies, It is epic and awesome, and has amazing fights and gun battles. I hope someday I can make movies as good as this, but for now I will continue making movies. It was in theatres briefly but remained relatively low key. Unfortunately, it was released too close to the release of The Maxtrix Reloaded and Revolutions and was panned for looking too similar (style-wise) to those films. Although if, at the time, people had actually bothered to watch the film, they'd have realised that it is nothing like the Matrix films.

I know that's not what this movie is about, I just like to emphasize that mindless violence is as bad as mindless avoidance. Yes, I think you are mostly right. A lot of people may be tricked through ignorance. That's not an excuse because the search for truth and education are personal responsibilities. On the other hand, I think there are some situations in which a person could be tricked despite his/her best efforts in self education. In which case I would argue that such a person (though rare) suffers from innocent naivety, rather than culpable ignorance. Yeah, allowing onesself to be a pawn is unethical.

the scary part of that opening scene with him shooting in the dark. that's not impossible, as a martial artist we had to be blind folded and fight against people who weren't, and on nothing more than the sound of their breathing and the movement of air you could still win a fight and blocking punches is a lot harder then single taping a body.
