LOL when they show the mona lisa from the back you can see that its painted on a canvas then the guy shows up and says "its real" when the actual painting is painted on a solid piece of wood and not a canvas.
I dont see how that can be real.
The director could have looked it up before, I guess nobody studied art on the set.
this movie has several dozens gaping plotholes but it's one of those movies thats fun to watch anyway, but one thing why did Sean Bean agree to what was essentially a cameo and can that man actually survive a feature leangth theatrically released film
@jacakomnenovic and does he have a right to rite it down on payper ,,dude your fucking illiterate you should stick to the right of silence and shut your dumb uneducated ass the fuck up ,,
This plot had some legs until they showed the goddamn MONA LISA. I'm am so fuckin tired of the cliched idea that this ugly ass painting is the epitome of human creativity. Mix it up a little, show a ivory warrior mask from the Benin Empire or a Mokume Gane Samurai sword by Denbei Shoami or even a friggen Frida Kahlo painting for once.
This is one my favorite movies, It is epic and awesome, and has amazing fights and gun battles. I hope someday I can make movies as good as this, but for now I will continue making movies. One of my new uploads is a gunfight and I got some of my inspiration for it from this movie. If you go see it, remember to vote if you like the new version or the origional better!

This is a alsome movie. I would give it 100 in the action. but I would give it a 9o in the story. overall it is a good action movie. what do you guys think?
I've read through your comments and I can understand your agreement with the philosophy upon which Libria is built. I think the society you are looking for is one that the Vulcans of Star Trek has. The only way to control emotions while producing a fruitful society is through the rigorous application of reason in all aspects of our lives. You might want to look into the emerging philosophy of transhumanism, I think you would be very interested.
In your arguments, I have yet to see where you have the proves for the stupidity for such a society. And we were having a hypothetically discussion, since we're not actually having the same problems right now. Never write this down? Why?
Five people? How many is killed, raped, tortured, presecuted and massacred every single day. Let me tell you, the numbers are very much larger than what you know. And as I told you, there will be no suffering, because there is nothing that makes you suffer. That feeling is taken away.
"Its like being behind invisible bars (with these drugs)." I thought that you already knew. Without bars there cannot be freedom. You cannot have one without the other.
I can. I believe that this society would've been great. But we aren't discussing nazism, but the ideology of Equilibrium. There is a link -yes, but it's you that fail to see the fantastic society this really is. No war, no hate, check out Palestine, lots of nations in Africa, the policy America runs. There is a HUGE difference, but you are too busy to relate it to nazism that you fail to see the idea, and what concequences it gives us.
Definitely true, but sometimes people become tricked into fighting for nothing. Seems like the worst case to me. I know that's not what this movie is about, I just like to emphasize that mindless violence is as bad as mindless avoidance. I think war is an expression of risk management via the survivability of competing societies.
Yes, I think you are mostly right. A lot of people may be tricked through ignorance. That's not an excuse because the search for truth and education are personal responsibilities. On the other hand, I think there are some situations in which a person could be tricked despite his/her best efforts in self education. In which case I would argue that such a person (though rare) suffers from innocent naivety, rather than culpable ignorance. Yeah, allowing onesself to be a pawn is unethical.
Ofc I see the link. We are talking about the idea about the society. This isn't hateful. There is no war here. THAT IS A BIG DIFFERENCE. Nazis was a very "romance" ideology. Grieg and other classical music to make the feelings for your country grow stronger for instance. Another essential example is the hatred against jews and gays ect.
You have trouble of seeing the difference in the 3rd reich and a society without feelings. They use this film as a horror against using too much sense instead of feelings. Man, this is a propaganda movie. Feelings aren't necessary. Feelings are blurring us from the one truth. Let the sense and sanity guide us. However, where are the arguments? You are relating to something which is not even like it in the first place.
really, to live without hate, war.... its good, but (un)fortunately the feelings are within us, they are part of our life and i think if we change that, we have problems like in the movie, i guess.
i guess no. without our fellinsgs we would be like monsters, cause we must live with wishes, they made our evolution, and we have looked throughout society history that the wars made our society to evolve, not devolve.
its over and sorry if i said something that you didn't like.
It's not to abandon sense, but to abandon feelings. Imagine living without hate, without wars, without pain and agony. A perfect world indeed. We would evolve, we would progress, but why should we care for such things as feelings?
the scary part of that opening scene with him shooting in the dark. that's not impossible, as a martial artist we had to be blind folded and fight against people who weren't, and on nothing more than the sound of their breathing and the movement of air you could still win a fight and blocking punches is a lot harder then single taping a body.
WHAAAAAT???? That must be the worst and the most WRONG comment ever here on Youtube. Bale is one of the worlds most finest actors...along with Ed Norton and Adrien Brody!
