  • SAFC fan here, we've yet to beat this yet :)

  • @gards2 mouth spastic

  • Don't even support Newcastle, but this is incredible!

  • SPORTS DIRECT.COM NEWCASTLES NUMBER ONE! Cunts

  • like if you think it should be called st james park insted of the sports direks arena

  • sports direct arena.

  • Hahahahahaha, this is proper sad hahahhahahahahahahahaha

  • dirty mackems dirty dirty mackems

  • sporting rivalry is always great, but I swear, some of you lot sound so stupid, with the swearing and general unoriginal insulting.....settle down! This song however is rather clever AND original.

  • @TotnumMatt Language is part of the terrace culture here in England. Swearing is used in chants that thousands sing every weekend. Best bit of my weekend is screaming 'fook off you wankers' to the opposition fans. Outside of football I hardly ever swear.

  • What a pointless argument, everyone outside the northeast just sees them both as Geordies, Sunderland is part of Greater Newcastle anyway

  • Sponsored by ASDA... Ashley's Sports Direct Arena.

We've always suspected that Ashley was either a monkey hanger or a mackem.

I was surprised that the dark place was so close to the glorious place

  • Sports Direct Arena! LMFAO Get a name useless geordie Wankers

  • @Jj8655 It's called St. James' Park, you useless, disrespectful child.

  • @catbells69 No mate im afraid im here to tell your own stadiums name unfortunately you don't know but now it's called Sports Direct Arena

  • @Jj8655 They was a reporter outside the ground today on the BBC. The sign read, St. James' Park.

  • @Jj8655

How does it feel that a stadium called "Sports Direct Arena" is STILL better than the stadium of shite you have in that faggoty no culture having city? You are second to Newcastle, you're a city of cowards and you're wannabes, your whole city is garbage, you produce nothing, you have no culture, shitty night life and no tourist locations. You do nothing but sit in the shadows of Newcastle and try to achieve that reputation of a North-East city that you'll never get.

  • @Darkez982 Sports Direct Area? Laugh out Very Loud.! Get off Your Arses and Do Something About it---Show us at at Sunderland that there's People in the North East who still care about a great team at ST. JAMES'S PARK..and care about NE Football!

  • @Jj8655 You do realise that 'The Stadium of Light' was directly ripped off from Benficas "Stadium of Light' in Portugal, don't you? And you're saying get a name? LOL. Why is it called the Stadium of Light anyway, when theres nothing but DIM CUNTS in it. LMAO. How does it feel to be 2 points from the fucking DROP ZONE you HOPELESS FUCKING MUGS. The Glorious Toon shooting for Euro glory (Europe is like a fucking different dimension to Mackems lol) How is TITUS SHAMBLES THE RAPIST doing? Hahaha.

  • @Jj8655 We have one. It's typical of Mackem cunts to steal someone else's

  • I'm off to Blackburn for me Christmas shopping this year! I heard they got a cracking football team like!!

  • Beats me how they could spend what they did on 'rusty the angel' when there's kids living in rundown houses with dampness and rot !!!!! shows they have their priorities right then eh????

  • more like pigeons haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Do ya like yer Stevie Bruce?

Do ya like yer Stevie Bruce?

  • Geordie scum cunts. Top dogs 3 years and counting FTM

  • @TupacTrueLegend 5-1. Ryan Taylor over the wall. Always in our shadow. LOL GARDNER compared to Cabaye

  • @TupacTrueLegend

    Still counting, fuck me.

Didn't know mackems were that intelligent.

It's pretty bad to boast about finishing ahead of us "3 TIMES IN A ROW", and buzzing your tits off because of it.

You've ALWAYS been in our shadows, and is why we've beat you in the past few derbys yes?

Sunderlands just a small town in Newcastle.

  • love this song

  • Mackems eat flying rats, or sell them to their mothers as shady chickens

  • MY KIDS N MYSELF LOVE THE TUNE

  • @SaFcJoRdAnCaLLuM Third in the league?

  • BULLSHIT, Your the fucking queers lol.

  • Welcome to the Sad Mackem Bastards/Dirty Monkey Mackems, Nicklas Bendtner. You're a donkey who's a legend only in your own mind, so you'll fit right in!

  • I like all of the north east region, as did Bobby Robson. The whole area is one of humble backgrounds based on coal mining in Durham and Northumberland, and the shipyard of the tyne, wear and tees.

Nobody minds a bit of banter in relation to local football teams, however some people sadly go over the top.

  • 'CRAP TOWNS II: THE NATION DECIDES'

Sunderland is indeed the 3rd shittest Town in the entirety of the British Isles:

    1. Luton

    2. Windsor

    3. Sunderland

    4 Edinburgh

    5 Glasgow

LMAO.....Poor Sunderland are so shite they can't even win the shittiest Town league!! (Yes, they are a town, no matter what they say). 'Crap Towns II' is available at all good bookstores. If tempted to travel to Sunderland, please check with your doctor you have taken all appropriate precautions (rabies/HIV etc)

  • @CaptainKubla list compiled by a bunch of hooray henrys, a number of whom studied at newcastle university (if glasgow and edinburgh feature on that list, newcastle most certainly should)

  • @CaptainKubla (heres a tip just go and look on the governments on stats websites for crime, asb, drug and alcohol dependency, teenage pregnancy, unemployment and urban deprivation rates for the 2 cities. you will clearly be shocked.)

  • @hogalog I think YOU might find the stats shocking. Guardian 'Datablog' ONS 'Benefit claimants by constituency' July 2011: (latest figures).

Sunderland Central: Male: 8.5% Female 3.7%

Newcastle Central: Male 7.8 Female 3.3%

What does that mean, Hog? It means you're CLAMPED. Only a nasty person would try to gloat about it though and I want the North East to do well, including Sunderland. Shows how nasty some people are. Folk having a hard time is not something to cheer about. Shame on you.

  • @CaptainKubla well why not look at the cities as a WHOLE rather than 1 small part of it? ie: how many benefit claimants can afford to live in newcastle city centre, as opposed to sunderland? theres shitloads of social housing in sunderland city centre ffs. i bet youll find that theres actually 4 wards in newcastle that are poorer than sunderlands poorest ward (southwick). can be summed up - newcastle has nicer city centre, sunderland has nicer residential areas. thats pretty certain.

  • @hogalog *Sigh* I know fine well there are areas of Newcastle completely fucked, (I grew up in Walker) .My point being, its a crying shame for ALL OF US, the entire region is fucked and has been for a long time (the poor smoggies are even worse off) and it's nothing to score points on. Thanks to a few previous govts and (going back) Thatcher, when the misery really started. I am a Socialist. I want the whole area to prosper and heal. There is nothing funny about people suffering, whatever city.

  • @CaptainKubla i dont blame thatcher mate, i blame the unions for the fall of the heavy industries and the labour party for killing off small and medium companies. things are improving though, the smogs have their steelworks back, theres a railway works coming to aycliffe. at the end of the day though id still rather live here than elsewhere, we can all take pride that we have the best part of the country and all the best people.

  • @CaptainKubla Couldn't agree more---I can remember when we were all Geordies up here from Blythe to Hartlepool---all together----Now this Football Rubbish has Divided us ---'Dirty Monkey Maccems?'---I'll laugh when I've got Time....

  • @Brill39e you smoggies monkey hangers and mackems can flirt with eachother as much as you like we geordies shall not be lowering ourselves to that level however.

  • @TheSplintersmell Like I said,---I'll Laugh when I've got Time...

  • @Brill39e ill laugh right now as i dont live in a shithole unlike yourself

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSplintersmell I'm from Murton, Co. Durham...plenty of Newcastle Supporters down here......Where're you from Mr. Smell?...

  • @Brill39e Im from newcastle were we have a town center and everywere does not look like beamish.

  • HOWAY THE LADS WE RULE THE NORTH EAST!!!!!!!!!! SAD MACKEM BATARDS!!!!

  • this is gna be stuck in my head all day

  • Yes sone lyrics are a little out of date, but still a great song for Saturday's great result

  • Well done the Toon! All the best to the Geordies for the season. From a fan of fellow black and white striped side Fisher FC (Kent League).

  • And we win again!!!! We need a Bruce song to go with this!!!

  • Sunderland 0 Newcastle 1

  • I love this song it's awsome 5under1and is shit! Newcastle for ever in my heart. Greatz Swedish magpie.

  • Hogalog, if you are going to make the old comment that there is more crime committed in Newcastle than Sunderland please wise up. The fact is that whilst Newcastle is a prosperous city , Sunderland is indeed a fucking shit hole populated by inbred fucktards who steal a car/donkey/skateboard and troll along to Newcastle to nick stuff.

  • @JUDO4D go look some stats up mate. crime far higher in newcastle, as is unemployment. aye the city is a shithole, thats to do with bombing, de-industrialisation, and no regeneration (t+w council spent all the money meant for sunderland on newcastle). but its people that make a place what it is. geordie shore, geordie finishing school, bedsheets and nobheads down SJP, mongs invading the pitch at darlo and beating each other up, etc etc.

  • mate this is fucking class...........ur a farse, monkeys arse!!!!! ha hahahahah haaaaaa

  • 107 dislike must be mackems

  • Eurpean Trophies- Newcastle 1 major, 2 minor Sunderland 0

Top tier League Titles- Newcastle 4 Sunderland 6

FA Cup- Newcastle 6 Sunderland 2

Head to head newcastle have beaten sunderland 50 times to their 40.

Newcastle have done the double over sunderland more times

Newcastle have never been outdone in any season in crowd attendence

  • @toontoonbarmy sunderland record win, 9-1. sunderland record attendance 75,118. current north east top dogs?

  • @hogalog ill take the 5-1 win last season any day of the week over finishing a point over u in the league...we also domintated u at the stadium of shite and should of compfortably won 3-0 but luckily u got the point so ur not north east top dogs and never will be...u also beat us 9-1 in like 1910 lol....we beat u 5-1 less thn a year ago....50 wins to your 40 so fuck off u dirty mackem cunt

  • @toontoonbarmy yous aint been "top dogs" for 3 seasons and counting now. get over it! sunderland v newcastle, 2 bald men fighting over a comb. we are both shit and whatever argument you come up with to try and get 1 up with, will just be hit back with something else. this isnt like comparing man u and man city here! and 5-1 happens, itll happen in safc's favour sooner or later.... but 9-1 is a record and it wont ever be surpassed.

  • @hogalog wow u r a mug aint ya....9-1 that happened over 100 years ago u probly couldnt name 1 played that was in the team thn....wereas we just spanked u 5-1 last season....and ull never hav anything on us because its a fact that we r better thn u and u r a very long way of being better than us....we might not be man u or barca but that doesnt change the fact that we r better thn u and i bet u anything we will do the double over u this season or at least get a win and draw at the very least

  • @toontoonbarmy player*

  • @toontoonbarmy you probably will because we dont seem able to beat newcastle. but i bet we will still finish ahead of your lot, probably by quite some margin aswell.

  • @hogalog na it will be close but apart from connor wickham sunderlad havent brought any1 decent...most of the signings are old and past it...i think we'll finish about 7-10th and ull finish about the same but below us...last season u finished above us cos we blew a 3-0 lead against west brom which was a complete joke so u managed to finish a single point above us which wont happen this season

  • @toontoonbarmy oshea and brown won the champions league a whopping 2 years ago. gardner outscored both of our top scorers last year. from midfield. in a team who got relegated. plus, our team that beat chelsea 3-0 in our best performance last year, we have them all still apart from welbeck, but have added to it. weve strengthened basically. newcastle have thus far sold 2 of their most important players, with another 2 slowly being edged towards the exit and have replaced them with -continued...

  • @hogalog lets face it fergie never sells his good players unless he knows he has too/the player is forcing his way out ie...ronaldo,beckham....im glad u signed gardner cos i dont rate him,we were linked with him and i was hoping we didnt sign him and if we did he would only be a squad player...both oshea and brown are too old and are gettin forced out of united squad...welbeck is unseen wen he plaed against us i dont rate at all...i dont rate obertan either which we signed...another squad player

  • @toontoonbarmy at the end of the day all either club has to look forward to this year is the annual "one legged man arse kicking contest" against each other, which for 2 of the biggest clubs in the english game is sad.

  • @toontoonbarmy unknowns who MAY turn out good, but they may not. my money is on not, but we will see. ba is a write off, hes an injury prone shola ameobi. newcastle probably wont go down but to claim they will be top 10 is serious wishful thinking, and the chances of them finishing above sunderland this year are slim at best.

  • @hogalog yh but we have brought yohan cabaye in who was captain of lille which won the french ligue 1...ba scored 6 in 12 for a poor west ham and scored summin like 50 in 100 when he played in germany....marveux who liverpool were trying to sign...ben arfa is back and weve got that young player abeid who looks shit hot and i bet any money this season he will turn out to be another check tiote...the only player i rate out of sunderlands summer dealings is connor wickham

  • Comment removed

  • @toontoonbarmy then youre an idiot. aye, brown and o shea are old (30) but at the end of the day the average age of the team that surrendered at st james was about 20. literally men v boys. every 1 of our players is proven and improves the team. you can only say that about ba and hes injury prone. the others might come good, aye, but also might not. and fergie might not let good players go often no, but he doesnt let bad ones rack up nearly 400 appearances (inc: champs league finals) either.

  • @toontoonbarmy edin dzeko and afonso alves were shit hot on the continent btw. they turned out to be plain shit in england.

  • @hogalog yh but the difference is abeid is young and has time to adapt to the premier league and as for the rest im sure they will do fine...we have graham carr as head scout who has already got gems like tiote, ben arfa,gosling...so im sure the new boys will do just as good

  • @toontoonbarmy gosling is and always was shit. he was an investment. ie: sign him for nothing, if nufc then get relegated he can then be sold to a newly promoted team for a few million.... ben arfa has niether failed nor succeeded yet. tiote is class aye, but theres no escaping that selling nolan, carrol, enrique and replacing them with the injury prone ba, the shit obertan and 2 unproven french kids. and look how we surrendered at sjp with a team full of kids.....

  • @hogalog you could say arfa is unproven but from the few games he has played in he always seems to lead the attack...and just watching his little runs and passes u can see that the opposing team are very wary of him....as for gosling again he is unproven but deffinetly not shit...when he was at everton after rooney he was thought as there next big talent and even if he doesnt prove up to the hype like u already said we got him for free so we could easily sell on for a few mil...

  • @toontoonbarmy trust me mate, gosling is gash. ben arfa is, or was, a very good player, ala sessegnon. all the signs said he would make it, although he never got the chance to prove himself - will he be the same after that horror injury? of all the players ive seen suffer leg breaks like that, only cisse ever truly got over it. looking at the injuries and the potential players newcastle will lose before then, the derby at the sol could be a reverse of the 5-1. i doubt it like, but its possible.

  • @hogalog cisse was shit b4 his leg break and shit after no1 mentiions him at liverpool or sunderland...only reason ppl no him is cos of his fucked up hair/beard....ive not seen gosling play much but hes deffinetly not gash...looks like a good young prospect and is still tipped to become a star

  • @toontoonbarmy cisse scored more at sunderland than any newcastle player since shearer? and he wouldve been better still if we hadnt changed the system to fit jones in. gosling is no good. i watched both games yesterday, my observations - newcastle defend well but are absolutely no threat whatsoever. they could still be playing now and still wouldnt have scored. sunderland offer a lot more going forward but dont hold the ball as well in midfield. next week = 0-0 draw or a narrow sunderland win.

  • @hogalog cisse is shit end of he had a less thn 1:3 ratio for u....and as for saying weve had no strikers since shearer weve had carrol, matins, owen, nolan they all had about 1:3 ratios too look it up if u dont believe...i dont really rate any of them accept carrol but since hes a scum judas scouser now i dont care for him...we played shit against arsenal but we were never really tested tbh and i wasnt really worried about losing the game krul only had to make 1 difficult save i predict 3-1 to us

  • @toontoonbarmy lmfao how the shit are you gonna score THREE fucking goals?! lol youre deluding yourself there matey! and cisse got iirc 14 goals that season, how many strikers have newcastle had since shearer who have bettered that in the premier league? nolan equalled it i think? but thats it.

  • @hogalog carrol would of easily he scored like 11 or something before january....u joking we have ameobi....he loves playing against u scored 6 in 4 games against u

  • @toontoonbarmy but carrol didnt, end of. and aye, ameobi is a bogey player but you still have to provide him with the opportunity. if liverpool can rustle up no more than a handful of chances, newcastle havent a hope. theres 1 thing certain about this game, if somebody wins it, it certainly wont be high scoring.

  • @hogalog but the difference between this game and the liverpool game is that its a derby,so the atmosphere will be electric like all tyneside/wearside derbies....and i would never bet against it being a high scoring game as ive seen alot of big scorelines i.e 3-2,4-1,5-1...we usually do well at sol so thats y i predicted 3-1 but u never no with a derby...and i deffinetly can see a sending off or 2...sum1 like bramble or cattermole...or barton or tiote

  • @toontoonbarmy youre right about sendings off. personally reckon barton is going to have a full on meltdown on the pitch.... but it wont be high scoring. newcastle look absolutely toothless and what threat sunderland have wont be effective enough just yet. in a few games when people have found their shooting boots, aye, but of all the shots on target we had on saturday (more than liverpool) most were poor and some (yes, asamoah gyan) were downright woeful.

  • @hogalog y dont u think we will score many goals Last year our attack was

    Barton Tiote Nolan Gutierrez

    Best Ameobi

    This year it will be

    Barton Tiote Cabaye Obertan

    Ben Arfa

    ba

i no which 1 i would choose personally

  • @toontoonbarmy aye but how many goals did that attack score, when carroll left? not enough. and those it did score, came mostly through nolan. sunderland lack a cutting edge also, admittedly, but not to the extent newcastle do. on paper sunderland should breeze this one, but you dont play football on paper. from what ive seen of the teams in the whopping ONE game thus far, sunderland still just about edge it for me but there wont be many goals and whoever wins wont be finding it a cake walk.

  • @hogalog true we have no natural goal scorer in the team but last year apart from carrol who wasnt really a natural he was in his first year of the premiership playing regularly...and nolan wasnt a natural scorer either he just took the role when carrol left.... and we still managed to score 56 goals...which was the the 6th highest in league and i admit we lost nolan and carrol and they scored around 20 of them but i have good faith in the players we got to step up and take there places

  • @hogalog wot did i tell u...we r too strong for u....we bossed the midfield and u were lucky to not be down to 10 men in 15mins and we should had a penalty from the same inccident....o well still 3 points and 1 out of 2 win towards doing the double over u this season yet again....NUFC 4 LYF

  • @toontoonbarmy shouldve been a draw really. if sunderland hadve played dong-won from the start, theydve been 3-0 up at half time. newcastle got that little bit of luck they always get, im stoic about it, as was everybody in town afterwards - we will still finish well clear of you - we could win the league with 36 wins from 38 games, but we would lose twice to newcastle. its the way our luck it.

  • @hogalog we wernt lucky ur players didnt take there chances....if anything u were lucky u wernt down to 10 men inside 15 mins and 1-0 down from the penalty that never was given....we both had chances and on the whole a draw would of been fair, but like i said u didnt take ur chances and we did...if u took the chances in first half u could of killed the game off...but in the second half at 0-0 we came out and looked like we wanted it more wereas u were just hoofing upfield.

  • @toontoonbarmy newcastle spent the game hoofing it at ameobi. if it hadnt been for that free kick (which spiderwank did a great tom daley impression to get) newcastle were never going to score and it wouldve finished 0-0. poetic justice for the handball though i suppose. i still know which of the 2 i would be putting my money on to finish highest. sunderland could win 36 games from 38 and you know those 2 games they didnt win, would be the 2 against newcastle. just the way our luck is.

  • Comment removed

  • @toontoonbarmy lol i didnt literally mean this year, i was speaking metaphorically. like newcastle could get a record low points total (which would be 7 points iirc) they would still pick up 6 of em from newcastle. since 1967 sunderland have beaten newcastle only 6 times, theyve probably met over 60 times in that period. that is a staggering statistic, and apart from say 1993-2005 and the last 3 years, sunderland and newcastle have been equals. still confident we will finish well ahead mind.

  • @hogalog i dont think its because we are you bogey team i just think this season and last season we have beaten u because our team has been better....ur squad overall is better but out first 11 vs ur first 11 our team wins all day....all we need to get in is 1 decent left back and a prolific striker and we will be fine....our midfield is better ur strikers are better our defence are on par atm and i would say our goalies better...once we get pieters or cissokho we will deffintly could finish 7th

  • @toontoonbarmy we deffinelty could i meant to say

  • @toontoonbarmy they arent better over the course of a season (last year) they couldnt finish ahead even after taking 4 points from us.... newcastle are just a bogeyteam to us, like everton are. newcastle still dont have goals in the team - the one that beat us was a one off from a dubious free kick. they were never going to score from open play. whats worrying me is that we created shitloads of chances and couldnt score any of them. id imagine a bid for papiss cisse this week.

  • @hogalog LMAO 'Newcastle are just a bogey team to us'. Judging by the amount of times Sunderland have been relegated in the last 20 years I'd say that's a lot of 'bogey clubs' you'll have to face this season then, eh? :D The term 'yo-yo' club was invented for the likes of Sunderland....only in very recent times have they been anything like stable (2007 +). The world and its Dog knows who is North East. No1, keep dreaming. Still never seen a Mackem in Milan. 1-0, business as usual, jog along! :D

  • @CaptainKubla ive been to milan on me bobs.... see, i have a job (unlike most geordies) and can afford holidays! and this "yoyo" club has spent a longer unbroken spell in the top flight than anybody except for arsenal (who only broke that record about 3 years ago). so why dont you jog on, smash up a phonebox and sign on the dole, and see who finishes higher yet again this year.

  • @hogalog You've been to Milan on your holly bops, eh? Fucking hell I didn't realise incapacity benefit payed out so well these days!! (and no you haven't, stop fucking lying lol) Typical Mackem, drowning in his feelings of inadequacy he resorts to personal insults! I don't actually need to insult you, your Joke of a City and team are comedy gold enough already! Sunderland, the Village of the Damned. Greatest cultural monument....a Netto Car park! Hahahaha, lets all fucking laugh at Scumberland!

  • @CaptainKubla let me guess you are still at school. i work me sunshine, never been out of work longer than 4 weeks and a geordie is more likely to be unemployed than a mackem (go and do some research re: unemployment and crime stats. sunderland shits all over newcastle). hell the very poorest part of our "shit" city is only the 5th poorest in the whole of tyne and wear. the other 4 are all in newcastle.

  • @hogalog Look, 'sunshine', I don't want to know anything about you. Thanks for the sad life story, but no one cares. FYI I'm quietly confident I make more money in a week than you'll see in your tragic life. You really need to get out instead of obsessively stalking Toon pages, it's very sad. RE: SAFC being a 'yo-yo' club. Google 'yo-yo club', you will find a page in which SAFC reside. Why? Because they ARE a yo-yo club. Carry on living between 1890-1958, LMAO...its 2011 set your alarm clock.

  • @CaptainKubla hey i only get an average wage but ffs benefits/pocket money wont be anywhere near what i get. im gonna go and ask my dad what it was like to win something, you sod off and ask your grandad or perhaps great grandad, if you even have any living relations that remember newcastle winning something. some nerve calling us shit, at least we have the decency to be abstract failures rather than being a bridesmaid!

  • @hogalog I don't need to ask my 'Great Grandad' what it was like to win something ye divvy lol, NUFC won the EUROPEAN FAIRS CUP in 1969. A major trophy (effectively the old UEFA cup) I know the concept of 'Europe' is like parallel universe to Sunderland but try and keep up, ffs.

By the way Hog, I don't 'hate' Sunderland or yourself one bit. Its just daft banter man ;). You started the aggro and insults after my first comment here. One of my best mates is from Houghton-le-Spring, good lad.

  • @CaptainKubla you know that uefa themselves dont actually count the fairs cup as a european honour when compiling clubs honour rolls.... it was an invitational competition and the teams had to come from a city (for all sunderland might have wanted to go into it, it was a town back then). and not the major trophy you like to think it was. newcastles last major triumph - fa cup in 1955.

  • @hogalog Actually, I think you'll find they do, and it DOES count on the European record. At the time we won it, qualification rested on LEAGUE PLACEMENT, not invitation at all, or even official 'City' status. It was taken over by UEFA administration in 1971, had we won it 2 years later it would have been called the UEFA cup as it is now, the 'Inter-Cities Fairs Cup' is officially recognised as the UEFA cups predecessor. Sorry but you are wrong pal.

  • @CaptainKubla what youre saying there is correct, but it IS NOT the UEFA cup and it WAS invitational. Sunderland qualified for the UEFA cup (cup winners cup as it was then) by merit in 1973. then promptly blew it despite winning 3 of the 4 games and scoring more goals than they conceded. they played a nobody in the first round beat them 1-0 away and 3-0 at roker iirc. then beat sporting lisbon 2-1 at roker but then lost 1-0 in lisbon and went out on away goals? not 100% sure i wasnt born then.

  • @hogalog In 1969 you could not compete in the Fairs Cup without first securing the required league placement. Wiki has a page on it, just google 'Inter-Cities Fairs Cup'. Before my time too. I never said it was the UEFA cup, it was its officially recognised predecessor and taken over by UEFA two years after the win. It was a Major Cup, as a matter of fact. Some real Giants competed in it (Barcelona and Juventus to name a few). Anyways, offmans for now Hog, catch ye later. Nice to be nice. ;)

  • @hogalog Oh, and 'spent a longer unbroken spell in the top flight than anybody except Arsenal' LOL!! Are you for fucking real? Everton has the distinction of having the longest top flight record, Sunderland are not even fucking close! LMAO you thick cunt, stop it me bellys hurting!. Do you even follow Scumberland or has all that cheap white lightning cider caused some form of amnesia? In the last 23 years alone, Sunderland have moved divisions 12 times!!! You can't just count 92 onwards, bahaha

  • @CaptainKubla i drink real ales actually, or wine if im eating.... bet you drink fosters, if your mam even lets you.

  • Even 92+ (Premiership) you are still wrong you fucking mong!!! Ahahahaha.....96-7 promoted then relegated straight away, 2003 relegated, 2005-6 promoted then relegated (and I haven't even mentioned fucking 90-91, promoted-relegated again!!! LOL!!!)

Since you don't even know your own clubs fucking history, I suggest you DO jog along now before you humiliate and embarrass yourself further (as if admitting being a Mackem wasn't bad enough!)

HAHAHAHAHAH. WHAT A FUCKING MUG. DISMISSED LOL!!!

  • @CaptainKubla sunderland spent 58 unbroken years in the top flight until they were relegated for the first time you spacker. only arsenal have bettered that and they only managed it 3 years ago. sunderland have also spent 80 seasons in total in the top flight compared to newcastles... 80.

  • @CaptainKubla shit i was wrong actually.... sunderland actually spent 68, yes SIXTY EIGHT unbroken seasons in the top flight.

  • @hogalog u say chances but i would only say u made tim krul pull off 2 saves...first half u were better but i think we were better the 2nd half and once we scored i felt comfortable we would take the 3 points...our midfield atm is probly the strongest outside the top 4...our defence is strong all we need is a decent left back and thats sorted...goalies are fine krul and harps top class imo. only thing we lack is proven goalscorer which we are apparently looking at now in to buying 1

  • @toontoonbarmy yeah plenty chances (ie: good balls into the box etc) but few shots on target, that was the problem. the midfield battle for me was drawn, same with defences - niether side could break the other down though sunderland came closest from open play. done us from a set piece - our weak point. quietly confident we will pick up more points over the season but time will tell i guess. and i agree once you lot went 1-0 up that was it. if we were gonna score we wouldve done it first half.

  • @hogalog i meant both squads overall i didnt mean that players that took part in the derby i was on about the 1s missing i.e ben arfa....all we need is a left back, and a decent striker and mayb cover for rightback...thn we should compfortably finish 7th-10th like is said...only early days but ur struggling already only managing 2 points from 3 games compared to our 7 and we have had a harder start to the season i would say

  • @toontoonbarmy 2 home games against a team in turmoil and a team who dont win away and 1 away to a team full of new players who cant score ??? weve been away to one of the pace setters, had a derby (which we rarely win) and away to a promoted side and had we had a goalscorer, we wouldve won all 3 comfortably. 2 draws and only 2 goals conceded. weve got money to spend though, which newcastle havent, so id imagine we will get a goalscorer in. who, i dont know. we shouldve signed odemwingie!

  • @hogalog

    Of course Newcastle have money?

I'm not one to agree with ashley, but atleast he's balancing the books, and paid off our massive 140m odd debt.

Even though i wish we still had Shepard in charge, apart of me doesn't.

If you think Neil Quinn, has money, then you sir are very very wrong; I once read somewhere saying he was only a mult millionaire, some 500m his head is valued at, and on the other hand Ashley regrettably is a billionaire who wants results before plunging his cash into us.

  • I don't really give a shit about football but the New V Sun derby is mint, not long now! However there's no denying that Sunderland city centre is populated by the people who were too ugly/mishapen to be orc's in the Lord of the Rings films!

  • Making songs about Sunderland... fucking sad obsessed inbred Mags.

  • lol @ easy 6 points for use last season SMB. Will agent bruce play his song this year !!!! or gan for cheeesssey chips ;)

  • Newcastle and Sunderland. Damn. I live in one of these cities (I'm ashamed to say which one) and have to say the HATRED between the two is just unbelieveable. There's passionate team rivalry, and then there's this. Please people.... ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL GAME OF FOOTBALL but don't act like ARSEHOLES in the process. Remember - we are supposed to have evolved from Neanderthals... NOT the other way around.

  • Cum on Newcastle. 5-1 fuck the Mackems

  • COME ON TE TOON!

  • NEWCASTLE UNITED SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

    Greetings from Italy.

  • what the difference between a mackem lass and a kitkat

the kitkat can only fit four fingers

  • "do you live in pennywell" ..... i know plenty that do, and its a lot better than pretty much anywhere in newcastle to be fair. and pennywell really is shit, so what does that say?!

  • I find the rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland comical. Why? Because the fans (who I think are the most passionate in the country) are following a bunch of men who, the majority, have NO LOYALTY to their clubs - who are simply there through convenience. I know of 4 regular first-team Newcastle players who are there ONLY because they like the street where they live, make lots of money, and their children are settled in schools. It has nothing to do with who they play for.

  • sunderland for europe yina hahahahhahahaha

  • Obi-Wan Kenobi made this telling comment about Sunderland after a brief visit in his space ship.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than Sunderland in the known Universe. We must be cautious."

Even the Jedi avoid Scumberland like the plague, it is such a god forsaken shithole.
