  • Beautiful horse, I wish I had him. How's he doing now?

  • I might adopt I'm 13 and my current horse I love to death but there is no connection and it's just not working. I don't want to hear anything bout my age with a wild horse. I know what Im doing you don't know me nor my horse abilities so I don't want to hear anything bout that,,kk? How should you pick one out.? Age,sex.? Does it matter.? I want the horse to pick me just as much as I choose him.

  • what a beautiful mustang!

  • oh how wonderful!

  • brilliant i just purchased 2 yearling colts smaller as welsh mountain ponies but they have next to no training or handling i can get as far as them sniffing my hand before they back off this has helped identifying i back off first then represent again and repeat until they accept me

  • wow he is a pretty horse but wild

  • god he's beautiful.....where's he from?

  • Appledanish4 thats a bay roan

  • Does anyone know what you call the coloring of that horse. It's a beautiful animal and I've never seen coloring like that, I'm dying to know what it is

  • @appledanish4

    Bay roan, I believe.

  • @appledanish4

    Bay roan, I believe.

  • @appledanish4 I beleive its an appaloosa.

  • @appledanish4 Its called Roan

  • @appledanish4 Red Dun appaloosa

  • @appledanish4 That is a bay roan with a badger-face. And I agree, his coloring is amazing. :)

  • @GalisgiaSoquili i agree too, amazing color. i think a blue roan mustang or a paint mustang is a little flashier, though.

  • @appledanish4

Its kind of a hard color to nail down exactly. He looks to be a buckskin roan overall with blanket spot typical of a blanket appaloosa. So I'd say he was a buckskin roan appaloosa mustang.

  • @appledanish4 it's a roan.

  • if we live them free they will starve or get hurt and die. i have 2 mustang and they are amazing wonderful horses i can ride with no problem. Adopting is the best thing for them!

  • @mustangabby2013

I saw a horse only once in my life so I don't know a lot about them so.... why would they starve? isn't there enough grass in meadows?

  • Trainers can now be guaranteed 700 plus what they get from the buyer for training, and selling a mustang. Not everyone is up to the challenge of breaking them. Hopefully this will increase homes for these horses. Check out The Mustang Heritage Foundation online. Theres a section where possible adopters can find/contect approved trainers in their state.

  • hahaha he is using clinton anderson skillz

  • Wild horses are social animals. In the wild they take care of their social group. Disease, overpopulation and starvation are rare. But also being social and intelligent animals they can adapt to domestic life. But what most important is They are Wonderful Wild American animals and should not be used as a resource. Which current politics do.

  • Mustangs left pretty much along are extremely healthy. The herd knows how large it should be in their environment. Only man messing with it all the time throws this balance off. These are very sophisticated social group. Too bad their is not more information about them like there is Elephants and lions.

  • It sad though that we cant just leave these creatures free in the wild.

  • i kn0w right

  • Those that are saying-Just leave the mustangs alone & free. Do you understand that the alotted land will only support so many horses without disease, and starvation? Sheesh! Adoption gives some a good home & is beneficial to the herd. So either adopt or volunteer your land. Talking does nothing. My 3 yr old Twin Peaks mare is sweet & submissive. Rides bareback with just a halter as well as she does tacked up.

  • Yes Foals will stave when their mother is taken for adoption. Yes disease may set in after getting hurt from being run down with the helicopter and stresses out. Otherwise, for someone who has watched these herds for 40 years. Nothing to much bad happens to them during times when left alone.

  • @shycountrymiss well whateven gives us the right to take away land that belongs to the horses

  • never herd of jerry munns but he sure understands horses. To any one thinking of trying this at home ,I would say get some help from a good horseman first. There is far more to this than meets the eye, more horses have been ruined by people who dont understand whats happening, than helped in the round pen.

  • jus leave him to be free..idiots!

  • i love the american accent, and there mustangs. what stunning horses :)

  • Lovely colourings! :)

  • if hes a wild mustang you should just leave him alone.

  • The government makes a practice of killing mustangs when they reach certain numbers -- being adopted is certainly a better fate.

  • I use a different technique that I developed myself. Look for the mustang video in my account. The mustang in the video is right off the range. Stands like a statue for anything I want to do with her.

  • he's using Monty Robert's join up technique. very effective with young or wild horses that have had little human contact. amazing to watch!!

  • ive heard about join up before. my horse is very tame and good tempered. but i still want to try join u but i dont want to chase him away incase it would not be good for him. so basically i just want to know, would join up be beneficial for a horse that is quite tame

  • you can try join up on any horse no dont chase him away you need to make him run because something scares him in his periferal vision and then keep him chased away with your body shape if you chase him by running at him or something hell be totaly spun out get a book of equus before you attmpt it done properly its an excellent excercise....theres loads of exercises in body language you can do everyday so he knows you can hear what hes saying to you

  • I did it with the horse I was leasing. He was 16 years old and pretty tame.

  • it makes me wanna try but the only wild horses u can get in the uk r shetland ponies n i dnt liv in shetland xD

  • all it takes is patience, its amazing :)

  • Amazing

  • haha my farrier told me the barn was going to light on fire for even thinking aobut training one

  • wow hes gawgus!

  • that's a beautiful mustang!

  • I adopted and gentled my own mustang, Cinnamon. Its really not as hard as you might think...she has been with me for a year and now gives lessons with kids :)

  • that was so good that the guy could do that .I wunder if I could do that
