Well, I didn't have to look away. It was nowhere near as graphic as the marketting and fan talk let on. :P (I watched the app. 81 minutes version.) Whole 10 minutes missing probably does make a difference though.

I'm 24 minutes into this movie and it's hundred times better than the remake. I find the atmosphere and acting much more colourful and events more intriguing and original than in the remake's beginning.

I'm pretty sure I'll spend more time looking the other way when the actual torture bit begins as I'm not a big fan of torture-horror, but these other parts are so very entertaining and quality stuff. :) Already just they are worth paying for. :)

Lol. I wonder how many were disappointed if saw this trailer before the film. I mean I know it was the early 70's and certain type of movies and effects were like the biggest amd most effective thing ever but still. This trailer makes this come off as the worst thing you could ever possibly see (in the sense of horror.) And nothing can be that to EVERYONE, so a bit more neutral approach might have been more honest and better for reviews.

Also, there was maybe like 2 minutes of nudity. In my opinion, the remake is worse. The gore is more intense, the rape scene was more graphic, ect.

Because in the original Phylis is first raped although they do not show it you can see Sadie and Weasel undress her and her breast are exposed. They also make Phylis piss herself, they make Mari and Phylis have sex with each other (it is graphic as you see one of the girls eating the other one out), Sadie performs oral sex on Mari, Sadie pulls Phylis' intestince out when she is stabbed. Krug carves his name on mari and etc etc.

@face2faceish1 This movie has been cut many times and it is difficult to find the fully uncut one, if you want more info on the movie look it up on wikipedia. There is a very short documentary here in which Wes Craven talks about it and you can see the part in which Sadie pulls Phylis insides out. It was so gross I had to look away. One of the most disturbing parts in the movie is not even gory it is when Phylis is made to piss herself. There was no special effects the actress really does it.

As for the intestines part, I don't remember. I remember when Phylis got killed they stabbed her A LOT (it showed it), there was blood everywhere, and then one of the gang members threw Phylis' arm on the ground.
