Played this for the 1st time, I an addict. The review is very helpful for a first timer, this is my first shootem game I am more of the driver, but I love this. I thing its being able to play with the move controler that won me over. Now if I could just shut my wife up and have her stop walking infront of the dam tv during my 10 hours of play. Is there an app. for that?
i got mag and mw2 i got addicted to mw2 so never played mag i returned it then i got bored of mw2 got black ops got bored saw mw3 and said it was gay bought mag again and now im addicted to it mag is awesome!

@blackwarrior1694 because sver has amazing weapons. High recoil, high damage, high accuracy when single shot. Any gamer with experience with russian weapons will have an advantage over any weapon.
@AliceDarlinn There will be no MAG 2. Theres no need for it, and your already playing MAG 2 btw. Its MAG 2.0, not 1.0(anymore). And bird, stop your camping. Don't be mad that your faction was never ranked 1.
Honestly, with all the shooter games I have played I still find this one the best. I like the fact that it's more of a team based game and not just a run and gun game. I like the fact that there are objectives to complete and there are multiple ways to earn XP. It's not up there with graphics compared to some other games but the gameplay in my opinion is better then any other.
@paintball171717 I just prestieged from Valor to S.V.E.R because S.V.E.R completly dominated valor and raven, plus they have some of the best guns in my opinion. And now all of a sudden Valor completly dominates and work as a team instead of run n' gun. Raven is ok, sometimes they will dominate and other times its like your playing against level 1's. But if I had to pick one to start out as it would probably be. 1) Valor 2)S.V.E.R 3)Raven. But thats just my opinion.

@ZigBoB138 I've played this game from when it was released and I have to agree with you. I have not left SVER but in the begining we dominated both Valor and Raven. Lately, Valor has been keeping pace and there are some games where Raven does the same. I prefer it that way to be honest. I rather have games come down to the wire then totally dominating. Either way, still one of my favorite games.
@BangZzYoSpeakers i think i can aim good enough to atleast kill someone -.- its just the sensitivity is too low, it makes me feel like a fatass in the game lol and yea it takes me about 6-8 shots to kill some one but for they enemy it takes them lik 2 or 3 -.- i just shoot them once and they turn around and just shot me once then i die -.-
When bleeding out,. my opinion is wait until the ticker on the bottem right hits 4 seconds left,.. then stop waiting and just respawn with the rest ;) ur not worth anything laying on the ground,..
i really hate mag because of how hard and long it takes to just level up and get money to buy a good weapon! it takes about one or two clips just to kill one person and if you miss they jus turn around and shot you once with full health and you're dead >.< its so stupid and there action is just too slow! but if youa ctully like mag i was TOTALLY suggest battlefield because its basically mag but just so much less frustrating

@Shodex4 Fair enough, Call of Duty gets old after awhile (or in the case of Black Ops, 1 day). I just wish Zipper Interactive updated the game regularly to fix things like; turtle speed matchmaking, giving us a greater reason to care about a particular faction, an improved party system, and improved team dynamic (stop lone wolves). Correct me if any of these these issues (however minor) have been addressed at the time of this writing. This game is however, more fun than people give it credit...
I been playing MAG since the Open BETA, I liked your review since you actually know not to compare it to other Shooter games, and it is true that COD is more of a FUN arcade MODE but I have MORE fun playing MAG. Even when every player quit playing Domination for about a month.
i find the game quite biased and you cant say that other pmcs have better players because thats bull, example ive swaped weapons with other pmcs and some are way more powerful than others, which i find stupid whats the point i having more of an advantage?
and another thing, it's not about camo really. If your prone sniping, what good are you doing your squad? You need to be mobile and camo or not, you can still get killed very easy.
yeah but raven looks like a bunch of master chief space monkeys with guns. Like planet of the apes meets halo. So no, i was a sver fan, went to valor and now have both so I get the best of both.
I have played all 3 of the PMC's and i have to say Raven are funnest if you playing sniper, the other PMC's just stand out too much to the environment. SVER (which i dont understand why most like them) just stand out way too much with their Orange color schemes. plus me personally got sick of the "Revolutionist" look thanks to brink... and Valor just ask for death with their over muscular exposed arms sticking out of bushes and behind cover. Gotta love that Raven Camouflage.
@ButcherGod Well i have to agree with you on the camouflage with raven snipers but as for SVER you have the ability to purchase other character camouflage outfits that do help them blend in better with the environment.
Got this game couple months ago, I didn't like it. Then they had the 2.0 update which made it more accessible to a broader audience. I came back to it last week and I can't put it down. It took an hour or so to get used to everything ( Don't play it like COD ) I like how you get double exp for healing, which promotes ALOT of teamwork. There will be 4 or 5 people running to your position just to revive you and help you... it's insane. Not too many guns though.

I know this is a long response but please read if you want to win at this game. it is so much better than cod or anything else. cod is a bunch of people randomly running around shooting through walls and stuff like that that isnt very realistic. mag is the best war simulator game ive ever seen on console or pc. youll get everything. people forming up and taking on bunkers with mini guns on top, parachuting in, spawning from helpcopters with mini guns in them to :P.
@CallOfCamping 2) when youre going down a street you may see 8 people comin the other way to shoot you or you may see an apc come flyin by on its way to do God knows what. the main bad thing about this game IS the fact of the pmcs (raven, sver, and valor) iv found through real players and big gaming people like machinima, ign, ect. if they choose sver or sometimes even valor theyll love the game and give it good scores.
@CallOfCamping 3) however if they pick raven they fuckin hate the game and cant wait to get through with it so they can get back to cod (see ken burton's mag review) unless of coures your a bad ass player and want a challenge. but dont think that just because your good at cod makes you good at mag cuz it doesnt trust me! I recommend that you play sver and if your really good at mag you can vet over to one of the other pmcs later or just create another character.
@CallOfCamping 4) if you pick sver (the iron curtain criminals) youll love the game. youll win most battles, youll have people with you who are competent and can work as a team. if you pick valor (the ex us/british/mexican spec ops) youll probably love the game. they have some amazing clans that are very difficult to beat if your on the other team. yes even sver loses sometimes.. but not very often!
@CallOfCamping 5) valor has some competent players on it but they generaly work alone performing commando type raids tryin to blow assets up behind the lines. if you pick raven (the european... uhh armchair soldiers really their story is they were just regular people who got specially trained to be soldiers) youll probably hate the game. not because of theyre story but because the player on raven generally live up to the story.they have some good clans but sver still wins although not as badly.
@CallOfCamping 6) Don’t get me wrong sver doesn’t always win and raven doesn’t always lose but that’s generally how it goes. Another drawback it has is that it really doesn’t teach you how to do stuff in training besides the basics like firing and switching weapons which I suggest you do because the controls are a little different. So if you want to learn stuff either add me on psn (ALSmokey ive vetted, lvl 70, all that good stuff) or go to the mag forums and look for a mentor clan.
i have this game..... so amazing anyone unsure of buying just go and buy it! you'll regret not buying it. people say yeah its crap compared to cod. well its not all about running around noscoping people and getting killstreaks because this isnt how warfare is. this is about proper warfare and team play. its all about playing more tactical. the graphics may be slightly on a downside but they are still very good.
In regards to controls, I don't like MAG, at least when using the sharpshooter controller, which I am really good with in other games. When using the regular controller it is a little better, however I am still trying to find a good layout.
I think i might try raven, I have NEVER played MAG before and I dont even have it yet, so Im not sure what ill do. and for Navajuro or whatever ur name is iobuffa, i hope i play against you in a game of domination
Just picked this game up a couple of days ago, even though I knew PSN was still down. I have over 1800 hours playing BFBC2, but I'm tired of playing against the same players over & over.... it gets a bit boring. I'm sure I won't have that problem with 128/256 player matches.

mw2 is a run and gun but in mag you have to strategize with your team to capture the objectives....... mw2 you can go lone gunman like duke nukem....mag i think is better

@fireinmycrotch you have to level up and use your skill points to buy the resuscitation skill (it's under medical in the skill section) then after you get that you have to buy a medical kit ( it costs $500 i think). then you have to equip it to one of your classes ( go to armory section and choose a class). then join a game and when you see a big blue or white cross above your team mate's head go up to him and press L2 to switch to your medical kit, then shoot him with it. hope that helped!!!!!!

Honestly, with all the shooter games I have played I still find this one the best. I like the fact that it's more of a team based game and not just a run and gun game. I'm just watching it now and they changed thos game from one of the recent updates:
-You can now have 3 characters (first one is free but you have to buy the other two from the PS Store).
-The skill management is different, you need to BUY your guns and attachements.

@CallOfCamping 2) when youre going down a street you may see 8 people comin the other way to shoot you or you may see an apc come flyin by on its way to do God knows what. the main bad thing about this game IS the fact of the pmcs (raven, sver, and valor) iv found through real players and big gaming people like machinima, ign, ect. if they choose sver or sometimes even valor theyll love the game and give it good scores.

@CallOfCamping 3) however if they pick raven they fuckin hate the game and cant wait to get through with it so they can get back to cod (see ken burton's mag review) unless of coures your a bad ass player and want a challenge. but dont think that just because your good at cod makes you good at mag cuz it doesnt trust me! I recommend that you play sver and if your really good at mag you can vet over to one of the other pmcs later or just create another character.

@CallOfCamping 4) if you pick sver (the iron curtain criminals) youll love the game. youll win most battles, youll have people with you who are competent and can work as a team. if you pick valor (the ex us/british/mexican spec ops) youll probably love the game. they have some amazing clans that are very difficult to beat if your on the other team. yes even sver loses sometimes.. but not very often!

@CallOfCamping 5) valor has some competent players on it but they generaly work alone performing commando type raids tryin to blow assets up behind the lines. if you pick raven (the european... uhh armchair soldiers really their story is they were just regular people who got specially trained to be soldiers) youll probably hate the game. not because of theyre story but because the player on raven generally live up to the story.they have some good clans but sver still wins although not as badly.

@CallOfCamping 6) Don’t get me wrong sver doesn’t always win and raven doesn’t always lose but that’s generally how it goes. Another drawback it has is that it really doesn’t teach you how to do stuff in training besides the basics like firing and switching weapons which I suggest you do because the controls are a little different. So if you want to learn stuff either add me on psn (ALSmokey ive vetted, lvl 70, all that good stuff) or go to the mag forums and look for a mentor clan.

i have this game..... so amazing anyone unsure of buying just go and buy it! you'll regret not buying it. people say yeah its crap compared to cod. well its not all about running around noscoping people and getting killstreaks because this isnt how warfare is. this is about proper warfare and team play. its all about playing more tactical. the graphics may be slightly on a downside but they are still very good.

In regards to controls, I don't like MAG, at least when using the sharpshooter controller, which I am really good with in other games. When using the regular controller it is a little better, however I am still trying to find a good layout.

Just picked this game up a couple of days ago, even though I knew PSN was still down. I have over 1800 hours playing BFBC2, but I'm tired of playing against the same players over & over.... it gets a bit boring. I'm sure I won't have that problem with 128/256 player matches.

mw2 is a run and gun but in mag you have to strategize with your team to capture the objectives....... mw2 you can go lone gunman like duke nukem....mag i think is better

Hey if anyone on sver who has no clan and wants to join look up the account OKARI13 for info and to ask if you can join we'll give u a 1 week trial and if me and my friends like what we see we'll add you to our clan and the first 15 members "if their good" get to be officers after we all get to lvl 70 well if we all agree we'll move to valor for a little then go back so join if your interested

@fireinmycrotch you have to level up and use your skill points to buy the resuscitation skill (it's under medical in the skill section) then after you get that you have to buy a medical kit ( it costs $500 i think). then you have to equip it to one of your classes ( go to armory section and choose a class). then join a game and when you see a big blue or white cross above your team mate's head go up to him and press L2 to switch to your medical kit, then shoot him with it. hope that helped!!!!!!
