Yes - right up to the end. Five of the nine songs on "The Visitors" album feature the title hooks sung in a descending pattern based on mi-re-do (notes 3-2-1) of the scale: When All Is Said And Done, Soldiers, One Of Us, Slipping Through My Fingers and Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. I Let The Music Speak by contrast moves into the more angular and theatrical "recititative" (spoken dialogue) style, showcased in songs like Nobody's Side from CHESS.
Abba always admitted that their arrangements were considered "basic" so there is really no "secret grand formula" or anything mysterious or insidious about their work. Simple harmonies. melodies and overdubbing has always been their "MO" ;)
Wow! The world's first book that unveils the structure beneath the magic of the music of ABBA - straightforward but stunningly effective ... check the web site link, buy the book and discover why we all fell under the spell!
I just ordered Mr. Patrick's book. Can't wait to get it!
