The product itself is water based, with aloe vera as its second ingredient. It doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky, and I myself have combination skin. So, try it out if you're looking for a cheap alternative but would rather not use just plain water. Because it does have plant extracts, however, I would check the ingredients just to be sure you dont have any allergies to the product. =]

Yes. Mixing your foundation with moisturiser does dilute the colour but it also ontributes to achieving a very natural appearence. Particularly useful if your foundation is a little bit too dark for you as it will lighten it up nicely so you can wear it :)
