  • The music actually is Traumerei by Robert Schumann. You can Google Traumerei and see very moving renditions. It plays continuously at the Stalingrad Memorial.

  • The music id Traumerai by Shubert

  • Thank you!

  • Wow, marching like that must have a horrible long term effect on them, respect to them.

  • что за хуйня!? Зачем так украшать ритуал? Зачем все эти подкидки карабина? Ну ведь дешёвка!!!!

  • not very impressive show =/

  • @Sp3ll633 not very impressive????? what you miss the fireworks and popcorn? you do realize this is a display of respect and honour to those who died in the battle (and all victims) in stalingrad (and everywhere else) . are you from austria? i thought you were from America. well, you must be one of those new generation facebook twitter iphone kid.

  • @Sp3ll633 in this place and killed tens of thousands of troops from the ussr! who are you that would speak impressive this show or not!??

  • If anybody knows, please respond by typing down the name of the of the song that the memorial chorus is singing

  • I am an American, but I know that no other country suffered as the Soviet Union did during the years of WWII. Americans were very fortunate that they never had to endure having their country devastated as all the countries of Europe and Eastern Asia did during those years from 1931 (China invaded by Japan) -1945. No one should ever have to endure such hard times.

A ceremony such as this is a very solemn occasion and ALWAYS demands your utmost respect. Anything less is simply arrogant!

  • @WMAcadet

Agreeing with you! We should never forget what the Russian soldiers did for their country and our humanity. 2 million soldiers died during those 6 months. I will teach my high school kids about Stalingrad as long as I am living. Yes, it is impressive to see this.

  • @wenhuikoi

Half of those were shot in the backs by their own troops. Ceremonies like this in Russia are almost comical for the simple fact that human life was nothing to the Soviets. They would send their men in charging tanks with rifles and if they retreated they were shot. The reason the Soviet Union lost 5 million men in 1941 is solely on the pure ignorance and stupidity of the commanders. And by the way, the Soviet Union consisted of a LOT more than just Russians.

  • @Panteraforever67

They had no other chance of driving back the Wehrmacht. Stalin said that Stalingrad must not fall at any circumastances. Yes, they paid the ultimate price but if not, imagine how many more dead would've await them.

  • @ubiozmiec

I'm not talking about just Stalingrad, I'm talking about the whole war. The pure lack of respect for life by the Soviet commanders is disgusting. They would send 4 men in to battle with only one having a rifle and expect them to charge straight into MG fire and when they retreated they were shot for doing so. I've never in the history of warfare heard of so many soldiers being killed by their own fellow soldiers. How the hell can they "honor" the people they murdered?

  • @Panteraforever67 Sorry man but don't learn history from Hollywood movies... read books!! its gives a bad impression about you.If you have no clue about a certain topic, just keep your mouth shut.

  • @Psyhozard

Lmao, people like you are fucking idiots. Please explain how by the end of 1941 the Soviet Union suffered over 8 million casualties while the Germans only had 755,000 casualties. Please do explain. I know what the fuck I'm talking about you ignorant fuck, please show how I'm wrong.

Don't let your ignorant bias get in the way of facts.

  • @Panteraforever67

    :)) 2 630 067 killed and captured USSR, Germany total1 699 000

Total military deaths for the soviet union was 13 million+14 million civilian deaths,

German military deaths are 9 millions. There is no way 8 million were killed in the end of 1941 2-3 millions i agree, half of them were POWs but not 8,you must read some Rusophobic propaganda...Also did you know that people that call everybody else idiots are idiots them selfs.Or perhaps I'm chatting with the professor))

  • @Psyhozard

You stupid fuck, CASUALTIES does not mean KILLED. You don't even know the difference so PLEASE educate yourself and maybe ill respond farther.

Oh and by the way, I use multiple sources and they all say the same, try Wikipedia, unless you think it's "Russophobic", and also how can it be "Russophobic" when we're talking about the Soviet Union, not Russia. Do you even know the difference? Must suck to be uneducated, like you.

  • @Panteraforever67

    other source

    USSR 1.5 million deaths

~ 4000000 ~ prisoners whose two million die in the custody of the Wehrmacht

(and that is because of the blitzkrieg and USSR unpreparness for war.In later years numbers would almost even.

    third Reich.

    ~ 700,000 killed or missing 650,000 wounded

  • You ought to know that this is not a "show" that you can call awesone, neither something you can call "silly". Rather, it´s a CEREMONY held in a war memorial to honor the memory of the several hundreds of thousands of Soviets, both soldiers and civilians, who died in the city, and that also died on the same spot where the memorial is erected.

It is as nearly as sacred as the Tomb of the Uknown Soldier in Arlington, U.S....try to be a more respectful.

  • Stalingrad was awesome except for the silly piped in music. Ew.
