lol, Who did the Dolphins beat? A bunch of tomato cans? lol They faced no playoff teams all year? The best team in the 5 team division was the Jets at 7-7? The combined winning pct. of their opponents was 68-122 .357? All year they beat two winning teams? The Chiefs 8-6 and the Giants 8-6? Both failed to make the playoffs? They went 14-0 against 12 teams with losing records? lol LUCK.
@jerrysboys jets, patriots, colts, bills they were pretty good and also we beat the best teams from the other divisions in the playoffs so suck a dick fag
this make me very angry!!!!! nobody knows the real story.......griese had like nothing to do with that '72 dolphins tesm.....a guy named earl morale came in after griese was injured in the beginning of the season and then led them to the undefeated season not griese!!!! poor old morale not getting any credit at all!
What do you mean???...Griese came back in the 3rd QT of the AFC Championship at Pittsburgh & his 1st pass went for 50+ yds to Paul Warfield. He also threw a TD to Howard Twilly in the
Super Bowl, plus a beautiful play-action
TD pass to Warfield, which was called back for holding. Morral deserves alot of
credit for sure, but Griese helped Miami seal the deal.
@GBPackersfan121 oh my god! thank you! no one knows that! and bob gets the credit! my dad always talks about that, whenever he sees bob griese on tv hes like he a joke, earl morrall was the one who led the dolphins, griese broke his leg in like week 5! earl morral is the rightful heir to the thrown!
I am very disturbed by Bob Griese's comment earlier today regarding Juan Pablo Montoya. I used to think Bob Griese was a class act. I was wrong. It was absolutely shameful and I hope ESPN does the appropriate thing and fires him.
You must be joking. A week suspension is more than enough punishment. Bob made a mistake, apologized for it, and was disciplined by his employer. Only a left wing tool with an agenda would think otherwise.
Take it easy Pearly. No I was not joking. I was serious. It is my opinion. Why must you resort to a personal attack on me and assume I am a left wing tool? Let's agree to have have different viewpoints. peace.
Get fired???...PLEASE! How would you like to get fired because you put your foot in your mouth? Who hasn't? He apolagized...whatever happened to forgiveness?
Bradshaw was the greatest game manager in the History of Quarterbacks, except for MAYBE Otto Graham. Bob Griese is up there, too, though.
Bradshaw had Fuqua, and Harris to lean on, as well as Stallworth, and Swann, not to mention the defense that literally defined a decade.
Bob Griese had Csonka, Kiick, and Morris, as well as a decent passing game, and the no-name defense. As far as talent goes, they were around the same level :S
Awesome speech...How true, Don Shula was and is a leader of men. The team he had was the best of all time...If you want to argue, show me another team that has done it.
This was at one of my back yard b-b-q's....George Carlin, Keith Olbermann, Scott Gorham and Slash were there too, among others. I know how to throw a party. After this speech, we had a limbo contest..... Shula won.
The 72 Dolphins adhered to the true concept of 'team', and that made all the difference.

Bob has a better career passer rating than Terry Bradshaw.
Brookssee821 2 years ago
Passer ratings dont mean sh*t. Bradshaw has twice as many Super Bowl wins.

Griese lost Csonka, Kiick, & Warfield...do
you really think Bradshaw would have got
4 rings if Harris,Blier, & Swann had left in
1977?

OK. That was really funny.

Thanks for putting this up. I am a big fan of Bob Griese (and his son). Can you provide more information about this event? I wish I was there.
