I see everyone commenting about HBK never getting a serious title run after his return in 2002, guys if any of you were fans BEFORE the Attitude Era officially started

you MUST know very well that he was champion EVERY SINGLE month since 1992, when he wasn't holding the IC title he was holding the Tag Team belts and finally the World title, when he returned from his back injuries he simply wanted to give back to the business what it had given him through his career

@NJCorleone the only reason Shawn wasn't heavyweight champion more was because he didn't want to be champion any more. He only want to be champ a couple times. If it weren't for him not wanting to hold the championship he would of held it more times.

HBK should have challenged Taker for Wrestlemania 26 the night after 25. He took a 4-month leave at returned at Summerslam. Shawn should have said the night after 25 that he suffered an injury and he will be needing time-off.

Thats the best thing about Shawn Michaels, he could lose to Undertaker 50 times at Wrestlemania it doesnt matter, hes still the Heart Break Kid, hes still mr. Wrestlemaia. Win or lose he is still the greatest this business has ever seen by mile hes in a league by himself.

Shawn got screwed in his later years when it comes to world titles.2002,he had shitty title run.2007 He loses to cena at WM23 then backlash and again when he was in a thriple threat with triple h.2008 He lost to Chris Jericho in a ladder match then on top of that he loses to undertaker to years in a row at Mania then retires

@jmanhot he doesn't care about his win loss record. all he wanted to do was put on a good match whether he win or lost. He made everymatch you listed a good match, and he made his 2002 reign have a number of good matches.

@DXarmyBiggestMember exactly he never needs to win.. because he gave us winning matches¡¡¡ honestly i think the biggest award or title he can ever receive is for all the greatest wrestlers from now that growing idolizing him, the fact that all the classics or historical matches he made them... Jericho is one of his biggest fan and personal friend.. even when some rumors say other things he always said it. HIS LEGACY IS THE BIGGEST TITLE HE GOT¡¡¡

Absolutely.

I mean hell, in his early days, after he turned heel, I HATED him. Absolutely loathed him Couldn't stand him. Would bounce around all pissed off when he won, and would dreaming of getting in the ring myself just to beat him up.

THAT's how good a performer he is. You can't just make up the emotion he got from his audience.

P.S And I'm glad he finally apologized to Bret, out of kayfabe.

@DXarmyBiggestMember Shawn wasn't champ in 2007. He hasn't been Champ since 2002. For a guy who's been with the WWE for almost 25 years deserves to be Champion at least 7-8 times. He was WWE Champ 3 times and World Champ Once!

@04WelshJ That guest host thing couldn't have ended soon enough. I really didn't get the point of it, because all they did was waste WWE air time promoting other crap. I highly doubt any new wrestling fans were made during the time of the guest hosts. It seemed to be a joke to almost everyone who hosted.

last night was a sad night for a life long HBK fan but i have to say it had to end sometime and if i was choosing how to end his career i would have done the very same thing. going out in a blaze of glory main eventing wrestlemania with an actual performer like taker not someone like cena or sheamus or some shit. i didnt kno if they could steal the show again but in typical HBK fashion they went out there and tore the house down what a way to go.HBK forever

How fitting HBK a legend, retired another legend Rick Flair and know he is going to get retired by a another legend. HBK is one of my faves but he had his shoot already, not a fan at rematches (see Kane) and Undertaker and his streak go together, he's earned it. Those who wright 17-1 also probably wrote 16-1, 15-1 etc.. Just a bunch of haters. Undertaker 18-0 and will retire undefeated at Wrestlemania! its his legacy.

@bluetuber2k8, That's my point. Shawn has had his fair share of 'send offs'. There's no need in having him end Taker's streak (which I highly doubt will happen anyway). If this rematch happens, I can't wait to see how HBK's fans (the ones who dislike Taker) will act, once Taker goes 18-0. HBK is already WAY over, theres no way HE is going to end the streak. HBK is just giving the fans what they want to see, Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels aka the WWE's 2 best ever!, one more time in paradise...lol

@dxbillgoldberg I know that match at WM26 was months ago but the wrestler to end Takers streak should be a young and talented superstar in their prime not a 45 year old man who's had his best days and just can't do it anymore.
