It's funny this video was made before Manny's last fight with Marquez. The fact that Marqeuz just outboxed him a THIRD time dispite being the smaller man proves everything in this video is right. Pacquiao hasn't made any improvements, he's just been beating up on shot fighters who have already been dominated. I agree. Whilst I believe there have been subtle improvements, his opponents have not had the skills that marquez has. I look forward to the third fight in November. Although I believe Marquez has slowed down and may struggle in the 140s.

Your examples must be against opponents who are not flat-footed. From what I've seen. every time Pacquiao was matched up against a live opponent, those "improvements" failed to show up. I'll give full credit to Pacquiao once he takes a random blood test (against opponent) while maintaining his increased stamina and punch resistance.

He doesn't like needles because he believes that it hinders his performance in the ring after he had blood drawn just 2 days before the fight with Morales which he lost decisively. This became a mental factor for Manny and Floyd exploited this. FYI Manny has never tested positive for juicing.

i think he has made slight improvements but nothing major..its the style of fighters that he faced and the timing of these fights that really flattered him. anytime he faces someone who can box a little he struggles..even when cotto was in survival mode and backing up he made pac miss so often n manny was really frustrated.

You mention the opponents are slow and flat footed. The only thing they have in common is that they were all defeated by Manny.
You'd have to make comparisons of Manny's defense, speed, power, footwork and intelligence with old videos and new videos. I've noticed that he stays in the middle of the ring and boxes, he's not as aggressive, guards more often, stays on the ropes to create opportunities for counter punches and good footwork.

Manny's defense is exactly the same. His legs are his defense. Hence, a flat-footed opponent who can't cut off the ring of take away his legs obviously won't be able to land clean punches on him the way JMM, Morales, and other quicker smaller men did.
Manny fights exactly the same as he did vs Barrera in the rematch up until now. His opponents have gotten far worse.
The improvements I mentioned are things he did NOT do against Morales and Marquez. He was very aggressive and always tried to fight the "bigger man fight". Because of this he was easily countered by great counter punchers Morales and Marquez.
Had he not improved since 2004 Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito would have destroyed Manny if he tried to rally with them for the entire 12 rounds.

Juan Manuel Marquez hasn't looked close to old in his last fights. The only fighter he looked bad against recently is Mayweather and the styles in that fight were very close, so naturally the faster, and stronger fighter wins that matchup. Berto is his best option at this point outside of Juan Manuel Marquez. Martinez vs Pac will never happen.

Your examples must be against opponents who are not flat-footed. From what I've seen. every time Pacquiao was matched up against a live opponent, those "improvements" failed to show up. I'll give full credit to Pacquiao once he takes a random blood test (against opponent) while maintaining his increased stamina and punch resistance.

He doesn't like needles because he believes that it hinders his performance in the ring after he had blood drawn just 2 days before the fight with Morales which he lost decisively. This became a mental factor for Manny and Floyd exploited this. FYI Manny has never tested positive for juicing.

i think he has made slight improvements but nothing major..its the style of fighters that he faced and the timing of these fights that really flattered him. anytime he faces someone who can box a little he struggles..even when cotto was in survival mode and backing up he made pac miss so often n manny was really frustrated.

Manny's improvement is by no means an illusion.
You mention the opponents are slow and flat footed. The only thing they have in common is that they were all defeated by Manny.
You'd have to make comparisons of Manny's defense, speed, power, footwork and intelligence with old videos and new videos. I've noticed that he stays in the middle of the ring and boxes, he's not as aggressive, guards more often, stays on the ropes to create opportunities for counter punches and good footwork.

Manny's defense is exactly the same. His legs are his defense. Hence, a flat-footed opponent who can't cut off the ring of take away his legs obviously won't be able to land clean punches on him the way JMM, Morales, and other quicker smaller men did.
Manny fights exactly the same as he did vs Barrera in the rematch up until now. His opponents have gotten far worse.

The improvements I mentioned are things he did NOT do against Morales and Marquez. He was very aggressive and always tried to fight the "bigger man fight". Because of this he was easily countered by great counter punchers Morales and Marquez.
Had he not improved since 2004 Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito would have destroyed Manny if he tried to rally with them for the entire 12 rounds.

Cotto, Hatton and Margarito were all coming off brutal losses. Forrest beating Mosley is different. I gave Floyd credit for Mosley because Shane looked incredible in the fight prior. It's different when a guy like Morales looks like shit in the fight prior and you fight him rather than the guy who dominated him.

@cyborg030615..I think if Pac beats Martinez it would be by far the biggest win of his career, and real boxing fans would have to respect that. Juan Manuel Marquez hasn't looked close to old in his last fights. The only fighter he looked bad against recently is Mayweather and the styles in that fight were very close, so naturally the faster, and stronger fighter wins that matchup. Berto is his best option at this point outside of Juan Manuel Marquez. Martinez vs Pac will never happen.

@cyborg030615..I clearly said that Pac isn't scared to fight these guys. I said his management doesn't want him to, because they fear he might lose. Which will severely diminish his drawing power because his mystique of invulnerability will be gone, and without that he's just another fighter with above average speed. If he even thinks about fighting Mosley he should just retire. Mosley is far too nice of a guy to be Mannys next sacrificial lamb, and he honestly doesn't even deserve the fight.

Then he couldn't even beat Sergio Mora. He has no chance against Manny thus there is no reason to make the fight, and this is coming from a Mosley fan.

Now I like Marquez. I think he is the best Mexican fighter right now and has the heart of a true Mexican fighter who doesn't quit (Victor Ortiz). But like u showed on ur video when Pacquiao fought Marquez he still young and he wasn't boxing he was fighting and just kept coming. And I'll agree Marquez won the first fight bcus he out boxed him and he adapted. But the 2nd fight, there was no reason for Marquez to get knock down again, he's a technician...

Struggled with Lazcano and got knocked out by Floyd, then Pac fights him. Clottey. Throws almost no punches at all in any fights which leaves Pac many opportunites to open up his offense, and prior to the Pac fight lost to Cotto and struggled with Judah early on in their fight. I don't think Manny is scared to fight Floyd Mayweather honestly. I still think he would lose that fight just because the ring intelligence and composure by far goes to Floyd. I think Arum and Roach don't want Manny to fight any fighter that hasn't had recent struggles because he makes them so much money. If he were to lose his pulling power would drastically decrease. Examples as follows. De La Hoya lost to Mayweather in a close fight, then struggled with Forbes.

@MaestroBoxing looking back at manny's 2001 fights with ledwaba and sanchez, dude was actually slicker and had better shoulder movement than he does today, with a good countering right hook and good jab. not sure why people bought into the whole he's a one handed fighter story, i guess it's easy to fool folks cause he DOES get most of his KOs with his left hand. in some ways i think roach made him worse, though he does throw with more power now.

The facts you've placed into your video's have been used to reflect your own opinions on whether Manny has shown any technical improvements which is cool, however this topic is subjective. Had Manny fought the way he did against Marquez and Morales as far back as 04 (Pure aggression and combination punches) no doubt he would have been destroyed by the bigger welterweight opponents. @HAXtheLEET - Prove to me Pac improved his technique greatly since 2004. He drew with JMM in 04 , got out-boxed by JMM 4 years later in 08. He fights exactly the same. 3 months after looking mediocre vs JMM, he gets stronger with increased stamina vs Diaz.
Manny got knocked out twice, knocked down by several small guys. He was knocked down & almost counted out by a simple stiff Jab from Hussein. Suddenly, he "grows" & walks through stronger opponents without ever getting tired. Technique? No!

@MaestroBoxing i think manny has improved some in his combination punching and his planting on his left foot when he throws his southpaw straight left. this way he doens't lunge off balance QUITE as often as before, but i dunno how much of that has to do with the fact that his opponents can't move. cotto's the slickest of his recent lineup and he went back to launching too far forward like he did before.
