@0549724031 I do not feel comfortable openly stating how much money I have exactly spent on the tank...it has been substantial. I would highly suggest to try to find a local marine/reef society so you can purchase some quality used equipment.
I would also highly suggest purchasing quality equipment...it will save you money in the long run! Don't skimp on the hardware for a tank...it will definitely bite you one day.
Other than that, maintaining a tank is not difficult...just be patient!
I am using a current nova extreme pro 48 inch model with 3 geisseman daylights and 2 geisseman actinics and one koralezucht purple plus. The back is not painted...just standard blue backing.
