I think this song fits Rukia perfectly. The sadness and serious subtlety you get from her at the beginning when she first comes in. She's first introduced as this mysterious character. than later in the series, you get to know her better. Still serious but show her small girlish side. How she draws funny using rabbits and bears, how she loves chappy the rabbit. I think the song displays this. It also shows her bankai, beautiful, but w/ a dangerous edge and it'is something U don't C coming, fast.

Actually, the correct romaji is "mai." I thought it was "mae" too, until I looked it up, and the kanji used (舞) is romanized as "mai."

@AdAstraify no , you're wrong . check it on bleach wikia , and you'll see it's mae (舞え) that means dance. maybe you are confused with ' some no MAI ' that means first dance. the difference between mai and mae is that mae is a verb ( to dance ) and in our case it's the infinitive ... and mai it's the noun ( dance ) . you can even listen to her she it's pronouncing it mae not mai.

I kinda have to disagree with you, i did watch the english dub first and thought that the voices fitted perfectly, then i started watching the subbed ones and find Rukia's japanese VA sounds slightly manlier than the Michelle Ruff, so i prefer the english VA's, but rememeber thats just me ^-^

Although i personally dislike saying this, it doesnt matter what you think. The writer of Bleach chose this over all else. His word is rule. But it matters not. It's a good piece, and i personally believe it was well chosen.

I love this song! It starts quite melancolic and then is getting better and powerful. I listen it and remembers me Rukia instantly! It fits Rukia perfectly! I think it's just like her because it doesn't need lyrics to transmit an emotion, is all in the melody, as Rukia doesn't need words to say how she feels, she just do that with her eyes and her look ^_^ I think that's why Tite Kubo choosed this song for Rukia.

Great amv!! Rukia is my favorite Bleach character and this song really suits her personality. Kubo Tite really knows his characters well. All their theme songs sound like they were written for them. I loved the bit at the end were she released her Zanpaktou, it went perfectly with the music.
