So those functions (making letters to open up programs and stuff) are from ubuntu? So if i did that on a different touchpad netbook i could configure it similarly?
@mrswitch1 The touchscreen acts like a mouse in all operating systems that don't have special touch inputs. Of all operating systems I've tried, the Windows 8 Developer's Preview has worked the best; very responsive and fluid. As of yet, there have been no announcements of a touch screen option for the W520, but touch screens aren't worth anything more than just being a toy. If you're really interested in a touch screen tablet/labtop, then have a look at the X220 convertible tablet.
I agree that this is cool but I do have one question. Why would you need 3 operating systems running at once on one laptop? Also, anyone know if this works on the Acer Iconia 6120?
@MrGenericdrummer Not really, any dual core can manage it when using linux. I have win7, XP and ubuntu 11.04 all running on my Linux Mint KDE.. Why is by far best user experience out of the box for somebody new to linux, everything is ready to go and the fonts look good too.
When your not actively doing something it kind of just sits there in the background not using up cpu until you do something with it.. which is why it runs so much so well.
just did an update today, and I don't think kernel 2.6.27 (fixes USB 3/wlan issue with suspend) will be used until Natty Narwhal, but multitouch is now working - go ahead and try pinch to zoom in firefox or evince
@tdomhan the only things that don't work OOB would be the multitouch capabilities of the screen, sleep/resume. Multitouch just doesn't have drivers available yet, though the uTouch project is underway for integration into future releases of Ubuntu. The sleep/resume issue can be fixed by a couple of lines of code that unmount the USB 3 controller before suspending, but this has already been fixed in the newest kernels. However, I haven't found software to handle webcam videos well.
does it have gestures for expose ?

That's amazing. The touchscreen functions are out of this world. Your computer must be a beast to be able to run 3 OS's at once.
