I like the simple lock idea. Not so much how tight the doors come together, but that is an easy fix, if you prefer a looser fit. I'd be concerned about swelling and shrinkage as it is.

@ollenbergerstudios Well in this case , one of the objectives of the gate was to not have it blow open as it would only be used on rare occasions, hence the stiff closing.
