  • i<3my bluetick coonhound molly!! see my video on my channel to see what she looks like! she is a beautiful dog that has a big black 'heart' shaped spot!! haha OH MY GOSH! when they dream their eyebrows move really fast, and it is soo cute! and YES, this breed is very active and love hunting. they hunt really well because of their ears. their long ears block the scent and dont let it pass by its nose, which allows the dog to stay on the trail of the coon/squirrel/rabbit/etc longer. i LOVE molly!!

  • The next season should have black mouth curs featured. I have one and they are the loyalist, smartest, and one of the best hunting and stock dogs. Not too mention they have a lifelong bond to their master.

  • bluetick coonhound are the mascot of the tennessee vols

  • ADORABLE

  • They need an epi with a Black and Tan Coonhound. Surprised they dont have one since in the Guiness Book a Black and Tan holds the biggest dog ears and the first coonhound breed registered with the AKC. But they are just as goofy and loveable as a Bluetick!

  • One of my favorite sounds is a hound baying, which is weird 'cause I've never hunted or owned a hound in my life...

  • ol' red was the damndest dog.....

  • English Coonhounds and Bluetick Coonhounds are two different breeds. English Coonhounds can be redticks, blueticks or colored like bird dogs. Bluetick Coonhounds are all blueticks.

  • The main coonhounds in Where the Red Fern Grows are Red Bone Coonhounds. I have a Bluetick Coonhound that I got from the shelter. I love him so much :)

  • I have a boarder collie and id love to get one of these guys myself. My karents say no :(

  • They should make an episode with a Walker Coon Hound.

  • i lovvvee that book! where the red fern grows!!

  • I want one so bad!

  • i bet coonhounds were used in the 50's and 60's in America, ha!

  • most retarded breed ever conceived by mans selective breeding.

  • @AquaticTide This isn't a video about your mother

  • @AquaticTide Excuse me but I bet Bluetick Coonhounds are much smarter than you.

  • is there much of a difference between all the types of coonhounds???

  • @littleangelsass Not really. There's just a difference in color. Like the Redbone Coonhound are the dogs used in the movie 'Where The Red Fern Grows."

  • @CoronaTheFatCat

thanks, I just got a coonhound from the shelter mixed with a beagle, but I don't know which type of coonhound. I wanted to know if they had different personality traits.

  • Hell yeah! raised in the south. Way down here its called a blueticks bay or bawl.

  • ;( Treeing Walkers! Where are the walkers?

  • i have a red/blue tick coon hound. i love him to death but his howl is sooooo loud and annoying

  • @mangelique11 my coonhound doesn't bark at all... weird eh?

  • i love blueticks,i had one when i was little.

  • i have a bluetick named molly. shes really smart and knows how to sit, shake, other paw (explains itself), lay down, touch (touches ur hand w her nose), and speak!! sub me if u want me to make a video of her tricks

  • isnt that what goofy is?

  • @totalepicwin i think goofy is a black mouth cur or at least he looks like one

  • What a bark!

  • Don't know which dog to choose? Why not zoidberg?

  • Where the Red Fern Grows :(

  • @shadowblade145 now im sad T^T

  • @shadowblade145 that movie has redbones

  • @BTRoach2272 one of the rival hunters in the BOOK had a bluetick. Reading is fundamental.

  • @sdstin In the movie as well. Blue didn't become much of a hunting dog, and didn't he result in getting someone killed ?

  • @shadowblade145 The dogs in that movie are Coonhounds but they're not Blue Ticks. They're Redbone Coonhounds, hence their reddish/fawn coat color in the movie.

  • @CoronaTheFatCat Im talking about the book... I was unaware there was a movie.

  • @shadowblade145 i feel bad now

  • @shadowblade145 omg i love that book! <3

  • i have a fully reddish brown one, crazy but loving, and wen i try to see if her ears touch her nose, she tries to eat them, and she can find prey, but is mortally terrified of it. but her life span is cut in haft cause shes got a liver (i thingk) problem were she gets sick wen she eats fat, so we give pills everyday witch make her not able too poop (lol) so we give her pumpkin too.

  • @TheSammy15z do you mean dog book?

  • @TheSammy15z It says right in the video that this breed of dog is descended from that kind. They're pretty similar looking

  • @TheSammy15z Actually no, the Grand Bleu de Gascogne is a French breed that has more pendulous ears and a heavier body. They look like blue, white and tan bloodhounds. Bluetick Coonhounds are an American breed with a racier body.

  • adorable ears :X

  • where the red fern grows? werent blue coonhouds in that book?

  • @davezbetter

I thought the main dogs were red?
